Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Wenger's little calculation, Li's father's thinking

Note; Fly is also Li, as for the reason, it will be told in the future.

The 55th minute of the match.

After intercepting the ball in the midfield, Wilshere charged forward and passed the ball to Van Persie.

The latter pushed the ball to the right, and Walcott received it, then took a touch forward, using his speed to blow past Antonini.

However, Walcott's decision-making after entering the penalty area was hard to evaluate.

He ignored Van Persie, who was calling for the ball in the middle, and Fly on the left.

He just took a shot himself, sending the ball into the stands.

Seeing this, Arsène Wenger on the sidelines couldn't help but shake his head.

Walcott is like this: extremely fast, quite strong at dribbling past players, but his final touch in front of goal is very rough.

Fly felt that if this guy's attacking choices were more reasonable, his market value would increase by at least 20 million Euros.

The 63rd minute of the match.

AC Milan launched a dangerous attack; Seedorf played a short pass and then a one-two with Pato, after which Seedorf swept the ball into Arsenal's penalty area.

Borriello, holding off Szczesny, managed a difficult shot, and the ball hit within the goal frame.

However, the shot was too central and was collected by Almunia.

Almunia took a long goal kick, and Song won the header.

Diaby controlled the falling ball and passed it to Wilshere. Wilshere dribbled forward and, from about 35 yards out, played a through ball to the left front.

Fly received the ball and took a touch forward, and then a familiar scene reappeared.

Bonera gritted his teeth and fought hard for the ball with Fly, but he was still a step slow and was left behind by Fly.

Fly glanced at the center of the penalty area, made a slight adjustment, and passed the ball out.

Unfortunately, Fly's crossing ability is currently just barely passable and has not reached the level of the European top 5 leagues; his cross was not good, too close to the goalkeeper, and was collected by Abbiati.

Seeing this scene, Arsène Wenger on the sidelines made a note of it, preparing to tell Fly to practice more when they returned.

Subsequently, AC Milan and Arsenal each wasted another good opportunity, and the time gradually approached the 80th minute.

During this period, Allegri substituted Ambrosini and Borriello, bringing on Gattuso and Inzaghi.

The 84th minute of the match.

During a midfield challenge, just as Gattuso controlled the ball, he was hit from the side-rear by Fly.

Gattuso, unprepared, was directly knocked to the ground.

The referee blew for a foul by Fly and showed him a yellow card.

After getting up, Gattuso started nagging Fly. Fly couldn't be bothered with him; if he hadn't already received a yellow card, Fly would have pushed him directly.

There was nothing he could do; as time passed and the score difference widened, Fly was getting anxious!

The 88th minute of the match.

AC Milan's immediate counter-press in the final third dispossessed Song and directly created a 4v4 situation in the attacking area, which made Fly feel a tightening in his head from behind.

Fortunately, at the crucial moment, Almunia stepped up and parried Inzaghi's shot away with one hand.

The ball fell outside the penalty area and was controlled by Clichy.

Clichy looked up and saw Fly frantically calling for the ball in the attacking third.

So, without further ado, he kicked the ball forcefully towards the attacking area.

Facing a half-volley, Fly outjumped Gattuso, leaping high and flicking the ball to Wilshere nearby.

Wilshere took the ball, advanced, and then played a through ball to the right front.

Walcott sprinted forward, instantly leaving Antonini behind.

However, this time, before Little Tiger could figure out how to handle the ball, he saw that Fly had already arrived in the penalty area.

With a square pass, Fly touched the ball just before Nesta, then flicked it with his heel, opening up half a body length on Nesta.

While the aging Nesta's body hadn't yet reacted, Fly feigned a pass to Van Persie, but actually played a cutback pass to Wilshere at the edge of the penalty area.

Facing the incoming ground ball, Wilshere drew back his bow and shot, completing the strike before Gattuso could interfere.

This time, Wilshere did not miss the opportunity; the ball, with a slight outward curve, hit the inside of the left post and bounced into the net.

"Beautiful, brother!!!"

Seeing the goal, Fly immediately celebrated wildly with Wilshere.

"Brother, thanks for the assist."

Wilshere was also quite happy, after all, the opponent was AC Milan, and even a goal scored in a friendly match was a great encouragement for a young player.

"Yeah, you gave me an assist in the first half, of course I have to return the favor."

Fly said with a shameless smile.

Seeing this scene, Arsène Wenger on the sidelines couldn't help but applaud with satisfaction.

Wilshere and Fly, both Arsenal academy players born in 1992.

Such young players are the future of Arsenal; Arsène Wenger has always firmly believed this.

In this life, although Arsenal was acquired by Dad Li,

Their financial income is not exactly abundant!

Because Dad Li has not injected funds into Arsenal; at most, he hasn't drained Arsenal's resources.

This is one area where he has done better than Kroenke in the previous life.

Of course, perhaps it's because Dad Li simply doesn't need to make money through Arsenal.

After all, Kroenke, with a net worth of only over 2 billion US dollars, is not on the same level as Dad Li at all.

Dad Li's main purpose in acquiring Arsenal was because of his wayward son.

Other than that, Dad Li hasn't paid any attention to other aspects of Arsenal.

However, this is also what Arsène Wenger is happy to see.

As long as the owner doesn't interfere randomly, he can manage the club well.

The 260 million pound loan Arsenal obtained from the bank group in 2003 has been fully repaid in 2010, which is this year.

In the following years, Arsenal will have money to invest in the transfer market.

Arsène Wenger has always had an idea in mind, which is to use the elevation of Fly's status to indirectly ask Dad Li for money to sign players.

After all, if his own son is a starter, as the father, he can't not support him at all, right?

And the ultimate result of signing players for Arsenal would be to bring better helpers for Fly.

And then help Fly achieve higher achievements and honors.

It must be said that Arsène Wenger's plan was quite good.

The reason why Dad Li hasn't injected funds into Arsenal is that he is not sure if his son will give up halfway.

What if Fly, this wayward son, plays in the academy for a few years and then doesn't want to pursue professional football anymore?

Wouldn't Dad Li's funding for Arsenal then become a foolish investment?

To put it bluntly, Dad Li's attitude towards Arsenal completely depends on Fly's thoughts.

If Fly really wants to continue on the path of professional football and wants to play well at Arsenal,

Then Dad Li will definitely not hesitate and the green banknotes will flow directly.

Anyway, the annual investment in the transfer market for a football club is just a drop in the bucket for Dad Li, it doesn't matter!

His wayward son wants to chase his dream, so he will fulfill it for him.

It's that simple!

It can be said that Arsène Wenger did indeed guess Dad Li's intentions.

However, the prerequisite for all of this is that Fly can truly make it; otherwise, everything is pointless!

Even if Arsène Wenger desperately wants Dad Li's financial support, Fly must truly have the ability to establish himself at Arsenal.

Otherwise, Arsène Wenger would not promote a second-generation rich kid who doesn't have the talent to match his position.

This is his bottom line and his principle as the coach of Arsenal Football Club.
