After a quick glance at his attributes, Fly decided to make his strengths even stronger.

Because Fly is a forward player, the requirement for a forward player's ability is to have outstanding strengths, not necessarily to be well-rounded.

Even with obvious weaknesses, as long as the strengths are strong enough, he can completely hold his own.

On the other hand, the requirement for a defender's ability is to have as few weaknesses as possible, with no obvious weak points.

As a forward player, Fly definitely had to prioritize adding points to his strengths.

Fly currently possessed 200 beginner soft rice points, 300 intermediate soft rice points, and 100 advanced soft rice points.

The beginner soft rice points were allocated to his [Strength] attribute.

After all, the premise of a football match is confrontation; if his ability to confront is poor, no matter how strong his other technical skills are, it's useless!

The system points exchange ratio is 100:1, meaning 100 points can be exchanged for 1 attribute point.

Thus, Fly's [Strength] increased by 2 points, rising from 70 to 72.

Due to the increase in [Strength], Fly's weight also inevitably saw a small increase.

His original weight of 77KG rose to the latest 78.5KG.

Subsequently, Fly exchanged the 300 intermediate soft rice points for 3 attribute points, allocating 2 to Dribbling and 1 to Shooting.

[Dribbling] increased from 85 to 87, and [Shooting] increased from 83 to 84.

As for the advanced soft rice points, Fly exchanged them for attribute points and added them to [Burst].

After all, currently, only 4 of Fly's attributes have reached 90 or above.

Three 99s have already capped, so Fly couldn't add points there.

Therefore, he could only add to the [Burst] attribute, and a value of 94 is absolutely excellent!

Along with the increase in the Burst attribute, Fly's Jumping also increased, going from 85 to 86.

This is a case of one change affecting the whole.

After all, with the enhancement of Burst, which is one of the most basic physical attributes, it's impossible for other attributes closely related to Burst to remain completely unchanged; this doesn't conform to the physiological laws of the human body.

If Fly's double speeds hadn't already been maxed out, this increase in the Burst attribute would have also caused the values for Speed and Acceleration to rise.

It's equivalent to the increase of one attribute, Burst, leading to the numerical increase of two, or even three, different attributes.

It's definitely a huge gain!

However, Fly was also puzzled as to why the increase in his Strength didn't trigger the growth of other attributes such as [Shot Power] and [Long Shots].

Perhaps the magnitude of the strength increase wasn't enough, or perhaps Shot Power and Long Shots don't solely depend on Strength, but also on other factors.

However, Fly didn't want to dwell on it anymore, as his first official match of his professional career was just a few days away.

....

Two days before the first round of the Premier League, all Arsenal first-team players were seated in the conference room at Kearney Training Base.

After a few days of rest, the Arsenal players were in good spirits and energy.

Although the pre-season matches had been quite lively during this period, many were unsure about Arsène Arsène Wenger's preferred starting lineup.

They were bound to have many thoughts, and Fly was no exception.

Even though he had gotten the chance to start in all three friendly matches.

But Fly was quite sure that Arsène Arsène Wenger just wanted to test his level.

As the saying goes, friendly matches and official matches are two different things!

They cannot be confused!

His performance in friendly matches only proved that he, Fly, had the ability, it didn't mean he was guaranteed to start.

After all, this was Arsenal; even if they were gradually declining, they were still not a team that could be compared to ordinary teams!

Getting a starting position at Arsenal wasn't that easy!

Fabregas seemed to sense Fly's anxiety and patted him on the shoulder, comforting him:

"Brother, don't be so nervous. Your ability is strong enough. Even if you don't start immediately, Arsène Arsène Wenger will give you enough playing time."

Fly nodded and smiled, "Don't worry, I have confidence in myself. At worst, I'll start as a substitute~~~"

A few minutes later, Arsène Arsène Wenger entered with a few assistant coaches and spoke to everyone about the match's points to note.

Then, without further ado, he immediately announced the starting lineup for the first round of the Premier League.

"Goalkeeper, Almunia."

"Defenders: Sagna, Eboué, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Clichy."

"Midfielders: Nasri, Diaby, Wilshere."

"Forward: Arshavin...."

At this point, Arsène Arsène Wenger paused, then glanced between Fly and Chamakh before announcing the final result:

"Chamakh."

The moment he heard his name, Chamakh felt a surge of excitement, then secretly glanced at Fly.

Fly's expression remained unchanged, showing nothing, but inwardly he felt a little disappointed.

"Forget it, it's not a big deal. It's just starting as a substitute. Grandpa will be able to get a starting position sooner or later."

He cheered himself up mentally, and Arsène Arsène Wenger continued to announce the names of the 7 substitute players who were included in the squad list.

"Van Persie!"

"Walcott!"

"Fly!"

"Rosicky!"

"Fabregas!"

"Alexandre Song!"

"Fabianski!"

There were basically no surprises among the substitute players.

Captain Fabregas was on the bench because he hadn't had enough rest after playing in the World Cup.

Professor putting him on the bench was purely to reduce his workload.

Once Cesc Fàbregas's form adjusted back, he would definitely be a guaranteed starter.

Van Persie, on the other hand, was injury-prone and had a minor injury, not being fully fit.

So he would start on the bench.

Walcott's issue was his level; when Arsenal played a two-striker formation, he was always a substitute.

He could only start when they played a 4-3-3.

Rosicky and Song had always been important rotation players, so it was normal for them to be on the substitute list.

Fabianski was Arsenal's second goalkeeper; being on the substitute list was just for show.

Basically, the match had nothing to do with him.

He would only get a chance if the starting goalkeeper, Almunia, had an accident and couldn't continue the match.

As for Fly being included in the substitute list, to be honest, it was the most unexpected.

If Fly were a regular youth player, he might not have even made the squad list for such a crucial match against Liverpool.

But he was, after all, the son of Arsenal's major shareholder, and given his sufficient ability.

It was one thing if he couldn't start, but if he couldn't even make the substitute list, then Arsène Arsène Wenger would be a bit too inconsiderate.

Fortunately, Arsène Arsène Wenger wasn't that stubborn; there was a reason he was called "Professor."

High emotional intelligence was one of Arsène Arsène Wenger's most prominent characteristics.

After the meeting, Arsène Arsène Wenger called Fly aside and offered some comfort:

"Son, I'm putting you on the bench this time not because I don't trust your ability."

"But the pace and intensity of the Premier League are completely different from the youth matches you played before!"

"Especially since our first opponent in the League is Liverpool; Liverpool's physical confrontation and running ability have always been outstanding."

"I need you to observe from the sidelines first, and you need to really feel the atmosphere of the League."

"If there's an opportunity, I'll bring you on in the second half."

Upon hearing this, Fly smiled and said, "Thank you, Arsène Arsène Wenger. I understand. As long as the team needs me, I can come on at any time!"
