It was a beautiful day outside, thought Akari while she got up from bed. Akari started that day like any other; the single difference was that she was wearing a camouflage uniform. She asked a friend about it. She had breakfast and said goodbye to her mother.
Then, when she was leaving high school, it started. Yuto told her "Sister, I can't find Buyo" Akari listened to his words and felt a chill. That cat had been in her room about ten minutes ago. It seemed she had no option.
She just said to her brother "Okay, I'm going after him. You go to school, you are already late now " Yuto didn't feel very comfortable, but he was afraid to go to the well, so he nodded and left.
Akari sighed and walked to the well with resignation. She opened the door to go downstairs. She stared at the well with caution when she felt Buyo brushed against her legs. It was just a moment of distraction, but at that instant, something horrible broke the cover of the well, rolled her body, and dragged her into the well.
Akari couldn't even react. It's different to read about it than to experience it firsthand.
"How wonderful, I can feel the energy inside me" The centipede woman said.
Akari tried to escape from her. But her arms were like iron tongs. Akari clenched her teeth with anger. She did not know if she is capable of using the power of the pearl like the original protagonist. She has tried many times all these years, but never could use it. She wasn't even sure if it was inside her, like in the original story.
"You have it, don't you?" Akari furrowed her brows when the centipede woman licked her face. In fact, it was disgusting.
"My body is growing back" The centipede woman is not going to give her more time. It's now or never.
"You are disgusting. Let me go now." Akari shoves the centipede woman with her strength.
Fortunately, at that moment her hand shone, and she was released "Damn you, I won't let you go, Shikon no tama.." Akari sighed with relief when she finally appeared inside the well. She is safe for the moment.
She climbs the well easily and looks around her. She observes her surroundings and couldn't help but think that she was really inside the story now.
Akari walked to the sacred tree. She is lying if she said that she doesn't have curiosity about Inuyasha. Of course, reality is stranger than fiction.
She felt astonished for a moment when she saw him. She stayed for a moment in front of him, and then she approached him. For a while, she has decided to follow the plot.
But before she touched his ears, she wanted to do something. Akari places her hand on Inuyasha's chest. So she can perceive his heartbeat, these were powerful, nothing for someone who has been sealed for 50 years.
Afterwards, she was captured when she was touching his ears, as in the original plot. Akari doesn't resist.
"She could be a spy?"
"Couldn't there be war again?" Akari ignored the whispering around her until another person said.
"Kaede-sama is here." Akari raised her head.
"Who are you? Why were you in Inuyasha's forest?" Akari didn't answer, only looked at her.
"You resemble my sister Kikyou…" Akari thought that, in fact, she was so similar, at least not as the original protagonist. Even her hair color and eye color were different.
"My sister was Kikyou; she was the priestess who protected the village. It has been fifty years since she died" Akari listened in silence. Although Kikyou probably never is going to be friendly with her. Her unfair sacrifice deserves respect.
At that moment, a great noise was heard outside. The centipede woman is here. She was faster than she expected. Madame Kaede and Akari leave the house, and the people are screaming and running away from the centipede woman.
"Give me the Shikon pearl" Akari saw her and ignored the question of Madame Kaede about the Shikon pearl.
"Madame Kaede, how do we deal with this monster?"
"We need to lead her to the well"
"Where is it?"
"In the Inuyasha forest, to the east."
"When the light is shining? Okay, got it" After saying her part. Akari started to run as quickly as she could.
She just expects to survive this time, too.
"I smell it, the woman who killed me. She is approaching."
