Chapter 14: Glass and Fire War
Explosions rocked the elf city one after another. The glass walls would shatter into thousands of sharp pieces. Lucifer's messengers, shadow warriors, spread through the city like black smoke.
Sai's protection by Sakuna
In the midst of the battle, a giant shadow warrior approached Sai with a large theme. Sai, whose body was weakened by exhaustion and the impact of the seal, could not move fast enough. The thread was about to split Sai in two, but suddenly... the thread stopped in the air.

For the first time, Sai didn't feel Sakuna taking over, but felt Sakuna supporting him as an "big brother. He allowed Sakuna's energy to spread through his blood.

Sai's eyes turned bright red, and four black marks appeared on his face. He was no longer just Sai; He had become a mixture of man and outcast king. It moved so fast that only a flash of red could be seen. He shredded the shadows with his bare hands.

Volt, when he saw Sai fighting like that, he got excited. He picked up an elf sword, but as soon as he touched it, the sword changed color to a dark gold due to Volt's energy.

With his immortality power, Volt absorbed all of the enemy's blows to his body and just laughed as his wounds healed in an instant. She had become a living wall of protection for the elves.
Aki's difficult decision
Aki watched them from a distance. The golden seal in his hand was glowing. Queen Alessia stood beside her and said, "Aki… look at them. They are no longer just two people, they have become one soul. But remember, although Sakuna protects Sai now, this power has a price. Sai's age is about to burn like a candle."
Aki's eyes filled with tears. He knew that if he used the seal to stop Sakuna, Sai might live but they would be killed in this battle. Even if he doesn't use it, Sai's life will be shortened.
End of chapter: A secret letter from Lucifer
At the end of the war, after the shadows withdrew, one of them left a piece of black paper. Volt picked it up and handed it to Aki. It was written on it:
"My king... your shadow is very loyal, but do you know that when you reach full strength, Sakuna and the boy in it must be sacrificed in order for you to come back to life?"
Sai looked at Volt, and Sakuna was silent inside. That silence was more terrifying than anything.
