Chapter 1 - Girl in a bloody hood

Forest of Faunaria 12/12/1912

News of the Titanic sinking a few months ago were all over the news, with the uproar causing no fewer than ten newspaper companies rushing to report the scoop to the public.

Of course, the story was mostly the same, except with a few dramatic differences, like the touching story of Rose and Jack, but as shocking it is, the fact that the seemingly unsinkable ship sank to a stray iceberg was undeniably real.

Real enough.

That is, for the common public.

Sigh.. "Cybele, you really need to stop killing so many people at the same time."

"It's fine isn't it? No mass destruction was caused this time-"

"If you mean to tell me that the black death was a mere mass destruction, I will grow flowers up your nose."

"Hmph"

I idly twirled some stray strands of hair around my finger, trying my best to act nonchalant as my twin sister continued her nagging. Has she made some new changes to the pavilion I wonder...

So bothersome...I only killed a few thousand people...even less than two thousand, actually.

Why was she making such a big fuss?

Suddenly, the nagging person in question gripped my chin up and glared down at me, her usual amethyst-colored irises now cold and hard, showing none of their usual warmth.

 "I'm serious, Bele"

I tried to look away but her grip was too strong, my poor attempt at acting ignorant only resulted in our faces being in even closer proximity. Oh gods..

Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means a simp.

But her eyes seemed to shine such a deadly shade of purple I couldn't help but fall into her gaze.

Ng..I can't get away..

Weighting my choices, I decided desperate times call for desperate measures.

"What are you doing- Mmph!?"

I quickly leaned up and gave her a kiss, drawing back when her hold on my chin loosened.

"Wha-"

Jumping back on the railing, I manifested a portal back to my domain as I blew my blushing mess of a sister another kiss.

" 'Cya later, Rhea~"

Feeling ecstatic at the fact that I somehow managed to escape from my sisters' nagging, I quickly hopped through the mass of distorted mana, which humans refer to as blackholes or portals, and returned to my beloved abode near the peak of Chomolungma, more commonly known to humans as --- Mount Everest.

Discarding the heavy fur coat that I wore in Rhea's domain, I checked the status of the mountain, which by the way, was made out of my spare mana a few millennia ago, because I had challenged Rhea to a build battle. (I lost after she made Mauna Kea.)

"Another idiot tried climbing the mountain again- How dumb are they??"

With a sigh, I gently stroked the wall of my cavern-like home, urging the mountain to absorb the mana and soul of the dead person located near the base of the mountain.

At least your death will be somewhat useful to me, be grateful.
