Chapter 1 - Boring

Kyoto, Japan.

As October rolled around, the seasonal rain and temperature drop occurred in the region. It was so intense in fact, that several floods poured into the industrial city of Kyoto from the mountains. Killing hundreds and destroying thousands of homes.

In one of those homes…

"Madam, it's close! Continue pushing… this'll all be over soon…" a woman dressed in a white kimono said. Her reassuring voice motivating the struggling young woman giving birth.

Haah…. Haah…

The struggling woman's breaths echoed through the room before another round of attempted pushing occurred.

A stern middle aged man stood to the side, not impressed by what he was witnessing.

When is this damn baby coming out…

The man thought, giving a disapproving look towards the private area of his wife.

"Mr. Fushiguro. Everything will be alright, it seems this child is very stubborn." A man dressed in the same white kimono said, a business smile on his face.

Mr. Fushiguro ignored him as he crossed his arms. A few moments later, the baby finally emerged.

He gave a suspicious glance to his newborn son, expecting some reason for it to be so delayed.

It's just a normal baby..

"There's nothing wrong with him?" Mr. Fushiguro said with a straight face and pointed towards his son covered in a cloth.

"Uhh…" the man who reassured him earlier muttered, glancing at his employer and the baby.

"No… nothing from what I can see." He replied a moment later, gently taking the baby from his colleague's arms.

Mr. Fushiguro… at least try too look happy for your son's birth…

The man tried his best not to break from his business smile and remained steady.

Mr. Fushiguro nodded once before turning around while walking off.

"Kyori, name him whatever you want." His monotone voice echoed through the room and with a click, the sliding door opened and closed.

Everyone in the room remained silent apart from the baby's small cries.

"Idiot." Kyori muttered under her breath before leaning back into the futon.

The man and woman in the room felt their professional expressions crumble. There was something wrong with this family.

"Give me him." Her demanding voice sounded and both of them snapped out of it.

The man hurried before leaving the baby in Kyori's arms. She gave him a kiss on the forehead with a smile.

"My little boy…" she whispered softly.

I've thought about it for a long time… you will be Toji.

"Toji. Do you like that name?" She finally spoke after a few seconds in thought.

The baby's cries turned louder and it seemed heaven had agreed as the raining intensified outside.

Just like that, Toji Fushiguro was born.

Four Years Later.

The summer heat took over Japan. The humidity and temperature made for a beautiful warm summer.

Down below, a middle-sized compound nestled itself in the edge of the forest. Located in the outskirts of Kyoto, it was clear this place belonged to a distinguished family.

It was so extravagant it even had a private lake. Something not many of the rich possessed.

In a courtyard closest to the lake, a young boy sat on the edge of the wooden raised flooring of the japanese style building.

He had a small stick in his right hand, tapping it into the wood every few seconds subconsciously. The boy looked eerily bored for his age.

I knew something was wrong. The same name as that character from Jujutsu Kaisen. Things were suspicious already!

Toji thought to himself, stick hitting the wood quicker.

How didn't I notice… after all I'm much stronger than the rest.

He continued on, his thoughts everywhere. Toji remembered the day he accidentally squeezed a rock to pieces.

The signs were already there, he was just… an idiot? To not see them.

After a few moments he glanced down, rubbing his hair roughly.

"But why the hell did I have to get reincarnated into such a boring damn time! This place doesn't even have phones for god sake!" Toji suddenly roared, throwing the stick into the sky.

He sat down, watching the stick disappear into god knows where.

Originally, Toji came to the conclusion that he was in Jujutsu Kaisen, but arrived way back in the timeline.

He was wrong.

There were no curses, no cursed energy, nothing! This place had nothing exciting! God had reincarnated him back to earth.

With that defeat in mind, his face turned sour for the tenth time today. He was born with such power and wouldn't be able to use it.

As those cultivators would say.

Alas, what a pity.

Toji grumbled to himself, eyes bored as his eyes swept through his personal courtyard. Although boring, at least this place was somewhat pretty. He had heard of japan's famous nature in his prior life.

"Toji! What are you doing? Hehe, my little brother is really tired today." A young voice echoed from behind him and Toji didn't bother responding.

He had enough of this half-brother of his. Just another brat who he humbled every once in a while.

Toji's entire family thought he had a disease, or at least that's how it was perceived. For some reason his lungs didn't seem to function properly.

Sometimes breathing irregularly, and sometimes not even breathing at all.

Toji also thought it was weird, but what could he do. A man had to embrace himself.

His strict father, upon hearing of this instantly stopped communicating with him. Toji was deemed a failure.

Well… until he destroyed the family's inherited quartz wall into pieces. With his bare hands.

It was only then they began understanding the sheer monstrosity Toji's body was capable of..

His older brother took off again, probably playing around the pond.

Boring… ITS SO BORING!

Toji almost ripped his delicate face with his nails from the frustration.

He was only four years old…

There was nothing to do. Kendo? Too easy. Play sports? No damn sports. Wander? He's a kid and didn't have a deathwish.

Like that, Toji's mind had made up. He'd have a boring life, even worse than the prior.

Bark! Bark!

A dog?
