Chapter 3 - Bjorn Stormbringer

In the desolate forests of Rivaril, Bjorn, who possessed a grey energy form resembling a human, and Vaku, a half-human, half-curse entity, were sauntering aimlessly.

"Isn't the stew made from those giant flies magnificent, Vaku?" Bjorn asked, rubbing his belly.

"Not really my thing. I prefer human flesh over insect meat."

"I hate humans, but if we ever get out of here, I'd like to try it too. My father used to make sure the people he ate were good-hearted. Even if he went hungry from time to time, he acted patiently because he knew he would feast eventually."

"What kind of idiocy is that?"

"My father is one of the respected curses, you asshole! A piece of trash like you has no right to speak over his word."

"Do you want to die, you bastard!" Vaku shouted, coating his hands in cursed flames.

Vaku started the fight with a random, wild punch. Bjorn, on the other hand, was relaxed; as an experienced warrior, he knew exactly how to counter.

He ducked under Vaku's fist to dodge. Then, coating his left arm in electricity, he landed a powerful blow right on Vaku's stomach.

Vaku collapsed to the ground from the impact. "Was that it? Tsk... You're pretty pathetic for someone who's supposed to be my friend," Bjorn said with a joyless expression, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Friend? We met an hour ago, you idiot!" Vaku said, trying to stand up.

"Hey Vaku, want to know a secret about curses?"

"What… What secret?"

"I'm actually not that full."

"What?"

Coating his left arm in electricity again, Bjorn suddenly began pummeling Vaku's face. While screaming in pain, Vaku begged for his life. Bjorn continued hitting harder and harder until the voice stopped. With both hands, he tore Vaku's corpse apart and stuffed it insatiably into his mouth, stripping the meat from the bone, sometimes scattering small chunks along with the bone shards, eating with a voracious appetite.

After consuming the entire corpse, he let out a burp long and loud enough to startle distant birds. "AAAHH!! I literally feel rejuvenated!" he said, then paused. "The forest is so boring!! The last time I went to Open Buffet, the Father had lost his mind. I wonder if Aiden has arrived? Best to pay a visit," he said, wiping the leftovers from the corner of his mouth and flicking them to the ground.
