As someone with a very deep coffee habit, I learned that a new cafe had opened in Baudha (Boudhanath). I grew tired of waiting and waiting for the rain to stop, so I finally walked in, getting soaked on the way, and entered the new cafe.
There was one empty spot. The moment I sat down, I was taking off the long, thin white coat I was wearing. Just then, my phone started ringing. Adjusting my hair and placing the bag I was carrying on the table, I answered.
"Hello!"
A voice came from the other end: "Hey... look behind you!"
Without even knowing who had called, I looked behind me.
I was completely amazed. The entire gang was there they were all my friends from grade nine. Still in shock, I was waving my hand. Some two or three of them were busy playing a game, so I couldn't recognize them instantly.
From that group, my closest friend, Kavya, was calling out to me. So, taking my bag, coat, and wet umbrella, I went over to join them.
Two large tables were joined together in the area where we were sitting. As I sat down there, I realized he was there too-by which I mean, my crush.
Everyone who had been playing the game looked up and stared at me. Feeling nervous, I greeted everyone. Then, I ordered hot coffee and momo for everyone.After having the meal, we talked a lot. I tried my best to avoid talking to him. But he kept looking at me.
It was already 4:45 in the evening. Perhaps because it was the cold season, I-still wet from the rain-was shivering
Then, while we were talking, he came over and put his thick coat around me, saying, "Are you still cold? Don't you know how to take care of yourself yet? Here, take this coat."
He then went back and sat down in his place.My friends were staring at me with amazed expressions. I just smiled and continued the conversation.
