Jay sat on the balcony, coffee in hand, hair loose, wearing one of Keifer's hoodies she "accidentally" forgot to return years ago. ☕💔
She hated how comfortable it felt.
Last night's words replayed in her head like an endless loop:

She rolled her eyes, but a tiny smile betrayed her.

After she let him hold her, he'd left quietly — not because he wanted to, but because she needed space.
Now, he stood in front of Crownveil again, bouquet of white tulips in hand — Jay's favorite.
No expensive roses. No diamonds. Just simplicity — like the old days. 🤍
Aries opened the door, arms crossed.
> "You again."
"I need to see her," Keifer said.
"You hurt her."
"I know."
"Then fix it," Aries snapped. "Properly. Not with flowers — with truth."
Angelo joined them, leaning against the doorframe.
> "She's in her office. And Keifer…"
"Yeah?"
"If she cries again, I'll personally make you disappear." 😈
Keifer gulped. "Noted."

Jay was reviewing documents when he entered. She didn't look up.
> "You're brave," she said coldly. "Showing up without an appointment."
"I brought tulips."
"I brought a board meeting."
He placed the bouquet on her desk.
She finally looked up — and for the first time, she saw not the cold CEO of Watson Enterprises, but the boy she used to love.
> "Jay," he started softly, "I don't expect forgiveness. But I need you to know why I left."
She leaned back, crossing her legs — queen mode activated. 👑🔥
> "Go on. Convince me."

> "I thought I was protecting you. You were building your empire, and I… I was afraid I'd slow you down."
"So you decided to vanish?" she asked sharply.
"I thought if I disappeared, you'd hate me — and that hate would make you stronger."
"Congratulations," she said with a bitter laugh. "Mission accomplished." 😏
He stepped closer.
> "But I was wrong. You didn't need hate to be strong. You already were. You always were."
Jay blinked — and for a second, her walls cracked.
> "You built an empire while I ran from my own heart," he continued. "You deserve someone who never flinches when things get hard. I want to be that person — if you'll let me try."
Silence.
Then — Jay stood, walked up to him, and looked him dead in the eyes.
> "Say it again," she whispered.
> "I'm sorry, Jay."
> "No," she said. "Say the part about trying."
He swallowed hard.
