Edward rubbed his hands together, a reverent expression on his face, as if about to perform some sacred ritual.
"Before drawing, you gotta shower, change clothes, and get in the zone!"
Edward muttered to himself; this was superstitious advice he'd picked up from reading web novels in his previous life.
Although it probably didn't actually help, it was good for peace of mind.
What if?
What if this time his luck finally turned around?
He walked into his ensuite bathroom, turned on the faucet, and hot water came gushing out.
The steaming mist quickly fogged up the mirror, obscuring Edward's reflection.
He took a thorough hot shower, scrubbing himself clean from head to toe, feeling much more refreshed.
Changing into a clean set of pajamas, Edward sat back down at his desk.
He took a deep breath, adjusting his mindset, trying to calm himself down.
But as soon as he thought about the upcoming ten-pull, his heartbeat refused to slow.
In this hellhole, strength was everything.
Pennywise, Jason, Freddy... these serial killers from the movies all truly existed here.
He didn't want to get dragged into a sewer by a clown one day while walking down the street; nor did he want to get gutted by a guy with knife-fingers in his dreams.
To survive, he had to get stronger!

He couldn't help but curse.
You give me this right off the bat? I got transported here without toilet paper, and now you give me a pack of tissues?

Before he could finish complaining, the second slot also stopped.

Edward's expression froze.
His eye twitched.
What the hell is this?

Edward was completely speechless.

He felt his breathing quicken, his face flushed from the rush of blood.
Overwhelming joy flooded his brain, making everything feel surreal.
He stared intently at the last spinning slot.
He'd already pulled the Ox Talisman and the Magic Picnic Blanket, so even if the last one was trash, he could live with it.
However, when the last slot stopped, a brilliant golden light burst forth, more dazzling than all the previous ones combined.
An orange-yellow crystal orb, engraved with a red four-pointed star pattern, lay quietly in the center of the slot.
Item acquired: One-Star Dragon Orb x1
One-Star Dragon Orb: A mystical orb from another dimension. Collect all seven to summon the Dragon God and be granted any wish (probably).
Edward was stunned.
He looked at the Dragon Orb on the system panel, then at the Ox Talisman and the Magic Picnic Blanket, and then pinched his thigh hard.
"Ow—"
That really hurt!
It wasn't a dream!
All of this was real!
"Haha... Hahahahaha!"
Edward could no longer hold back, letting out a suppressed yet ecstatic laugh.
Immediately after, Edward wanted to test out these new abilities. Edward looked at his bed, raised his hands, and easily lifted the entire bed frame.
Then came the Holy Light; Edward glowed faintly all over. Well, it was pretty intimidating looking.
As for Purification, he'd try it on Lily later; he felt she'd been acting weird recently, and her grades had dropped quite a bit too.
