Sia — "So you had it all this time?" (annoyed)
Lily tapped Sia's shoulder, asking what happened. Sia explained about the lost bracelet. Lily looked both surprised and annoyed.
Ahmad — "You're questioning us? Then let me ask you something—how come you have a gun when this guy, who's in the same sport, isn't even allowed to carry one?"
Arjun — "Yeah, even I wondered. Athletes aren't allowed to keep guns."
Sia — "We were both in the shooting area. She was practicing late at night when the chaos broke out. So we ran straight here. When they broke into the arena, we grabbed two pistols and the ammo box and ran to the dorm."
Arjun — "Oh…" (nods, understanding)
Lily signed something again, her eyes narrowing.
Sia — "Okay, our turn. Did either of you get bitten or scratched? And what were you even doing out there in this chaos?"
Ahmad — "No, we didn't! If I was scratched, you'd see blood, right? Look—nothing!" (turns 360° to show he's clean)
Arjun — "We're trying to call for help."
Lily and Sia exchanged looks. Sia signed everything Lily said.
Sia — "How exactly?"
Arjun explained the entire plan while Sia translated for Lily. Lily gave a strong look of disbelief, then signed rapidly.
Sia — "She says you're crazy. And honestly… we both think so too. The landline is definitely broken. Did you not see what's happening outside?"
(The banging gradually stopped.)
Ahmad — "Great… crushed the last hope too." (dramatic, sad)
Arjun — "How can you say that? There's still a chance it might work. A small one… but still a chance."
Sia — "Okay, let's pretend the landline is working. What are you going to do? Run into the lobby where zombies can come from anywhere? We don't even know how many are out there."
(Lily nods, watching Sia's lips carefully.)
Ahmad — "God…" (he lies down as his stomach growls)
(Silence.)
Sia — "Did you eat anything?"
(Ahmad and Arjun shake their heads. Sia stands up, brings them a packet of chips and a bottle of water. They start eating and offer some to Sia and Lily, but both refuse.)
Sia — "But you're right. We can't survive long with just chips, biscuits, and a few bottles of water."
(Lily signs something to Sia, then kneels down, pulls out the ammo box, and starts refilling her gun. Inside the box, two more pistols are visible.)
Arjun — "You have more guns?"
Sia — "We each took one. And one extra came in the ammo box, so… yes."
(Arjun picks up the extra gun and checks it. It's empty.)
Arjun — "Can I take one? I'm also a shooter."
Sia — "And what exactly will you do with it?" (sighs) "Fine. Take it."
after some time
(Arjun stands up.)
Arjun — "Thanks for the food and water… but I want to make the call before it's too late."
Ahmad — "So fast? We just got here…" (stands up, disappointed)
Arjun — "I'm sorry for troubling you both. When we call for help, we'll make sure to take you with us."
(He turns toward the door and is about to move the bed blocking it, but Lily suddenly grabs his hand and shakes her head.)
Arjun — "What?" (confused)
Sia — "She's right. Just because the banging stopped doesn't mean we're safe or that they're gone. They might have just wandered off. Going out right now is basically suicide. We suggest you wait for some time before trying anything."
Ahmad — "I think they're right. We already tasted their behavior once… I don't want to risk it again."
Arjun — "Fine."
(He sits, his eyes drifting toward the window where the main building is visible. They settle again, talking quietly. Suddenly, Lily stiffens. Something feels wrong. She walks slowly toward the window.)
(She notices a shifting shadow).
