It was another day and I, a mere adopted, princess was doing my usual mineal works, when the princess suddenly called me into her chamber and I, of course had no choice but to oblige.
"Princess Chen? You called for me?" I asked ever politely, my head bowed to her as I speak, only to be slapped hard, as always.
"W-what was that for your highness... I don't think I ever offended you..." I said, my voice quivering, as I felt the impact of her hand on my cheek.
Then she scoffed, grabbing me by the chin. "Offended me? Oh please, no! Your mere existence is already a pain!" She yelled, yanking my hair.
"But, it's not like I asked to be here... It was father... It was the king and queen wants me here!" I reasoned out with tears on my eyes.
Of course, she was even more angered by that, and just before she landed another slap on me, the door creaked open.
"Princess Chen, big brother is home!" Prince Long muttered as it entered the chamber.
And with her ever wicked mind, Princess Chen decided to turn the tables on me, letting my hair go, only to make me grab her hair, to make it look I am the one who's hurting her.
"Ahh! Big brother, help me! Princess Lu is hurting me!" She yelped, with her fake cries.
And ever her Knight and Shining armor, of course, Prince Long followed her cries and found us on the floor, my hand still on Princess Chen's hair, because she was tightening it.
"You lowlife! How dare you hurt a real-life princess!" Prince Long scowled, earning me another firm slap, on the other cheek.
With a proud smirk, Princess Chen then clung to Prince Long, making the prince unaware of the real expression she was making.
And I who was utterly tired of explaining myself, just stood up like nothing happened, made my way to the door, hoping to leave them to their disgusting public display of affection, only to be threatened again.
"Lu, don't you forget what you are in this palace! You aren't a real royalty and is just a lucky orphan that once charmed our gullible parents! Just you wait, tonight, and I'll show you what happens when someone dared to hurt my sister." Prince Long muttered, with a sharp glare on my way.
But that threat doesn't scare me anymore, so I just nod and bowed to them before exiting the chamber.
He was right, I am no royal, and I was just lucky to be chosen to be adopted by their parents a little earlier before Princess Chen was born, and now that they have her, I am nothing but a display princess, a princess only in name, but is never treated one.
Came that night, as I heard rustling noise from my door, I already knew it was Prince Long's men, and they are here to fulfill his promise to make me pay for 'hurting' the princess.
So as they started moving, I just let them, no fight back, just accepting my fate like I always do.
Until one of them pulled out a dagger, I knew the extent of this punishment is to carve wounds on me, but I was just too tired of it all so when the dagger started graze my skin, I just pushed myself on it, making it hit a vital part.
And by the time the man realized what I was doing, it hastily withdrew the dagger, causing me to me lose more blood.
"Thank you for making it faster..." I mumbled and before I knew it, I was already out of breath and unconscious.

???'s POV
It was late at night and I couldn't bring myself to sleep that it felt like I am being forbidden to do so.
So I stayed awake and find my peace over some drinks that I kept in my room, but ever the alert prince I am, of course, I could easily track if something is amiss in the cold and darkness of the night, or should I say, I just claim that, because the moment I get out of my chamber, I saw Princess Lu's chamber wide open.
Having a bad feeling about it, I ran to it without thinking twice, only to be welcome by a horrifying sight.
Princess Lu, was on her bed, barely clothed and is covered with her own blood, and as a proper prince, of course, I had covered her bareness before calling out for help.
"Send help! Princess is badly injured! And is barely breathing!" I shouted again and again, holding my adopted sister's hand.
And soon enough, the servants came rushing in, so is my father and mother, the king and the queen, all concerned as I am, while the second and the forth prince just appeared, totally fine, both disheveled even.
"What are you all standing there! Is no one really calling a doctor for her?!" I growled at the servants who're busy gossiping.
Only then, they moved, leaving me with Princess Lu and our immediate family members.
Mom and Dad was of course, both worried and devastated to see Lu in this position, she was always been good girl to them, all sweet, nice and most of all, the most obliging one amongst us siblings, but never really treated her as one, even asked her to do mineal jobs.
Even she was never really meant to be a royal princess, she strived hard, and was eager to learn, but with her innocence and elegance, I myself began to believe that she was really one of us, she's even more a proper princess than our youngest.
Soon the doctor came in, and began assessing Lu's condition, while we all stood there by the sidelines, letting it do whatever it needs to.
"Your majesties... I am sorry to inform you, but, the Princess... she lost a lot of blood, and it will be hard to find a donor..." The doctor spoke with uttered uncertainty.
My mother, the queen then collapsed on my father's arms, and father held her close. "What is her blood type? I am sure she'll have a donor from this family." The King said.
The doctor's eyes then widen. "But my king, Princess Lu is just adopted, wasn't she? How would that even be possible!" It questioned.
Making me growl at his intonation and implied words "I dare you to speak like that my sister again, doctor!" I said, towering him.
Making it flinch and look down as it spoke... "S-she's got a golden blood, your highnesses."
And hearing that, my own face falls down, I know that it is the rarest blood, and finding one could actually take longer, but not until Mother speak.
"Wei... You're actually an RH null too... And the reason I got her adopted is to have a blood bank for you." The queen admitted.
And there, I was like soaked in a bath full of ice, I couldn't believe my Mother is really telling me this now. It was like she's telling me this because she doesn't want me to donate for her, because it was Lu's job for me.
But I couldn't careless, I knew myself what I must do, so without thinking twice, I looked at the doctor and said "Get her whatever she needs, I want her well!"
And with that, the doctor replied "As you wish, Crown Prince Wei..."
