Arlene's POV
This whole situation feels like a complete waste of my time. The rage burning through me serves no purpose when directed at these incompetent people.
What makes it worse is having nowhere to channel this fury. Every instinct screams at me to hit something, but I know that's just Niall's frustration with how these people dismissed what their children did to mine, simply because we're rogues.
"Ever heard of taking the high road?" the alpha king asks.
"Ever heard the legend about the Rogue Queen who knocked out the Alpha King's front teeth?" I snap back before I can stop myself.
Warner attempts to suppress his laughter right as he takes a sip of water and fails miserably. He tries spitting it back into the glass, only to spray water everywhere instead. I stare at him in complete disbelief.
The entire left side of my clothes and face are now soaked, which only makes him laugh harder.
"You two are absolutely terrible," Knowles mutters with a sigh.
