I hurled the scalpel from my grip, striking Stevens hand with perfect precision.
His phone crashed to the floor, screen exploding into fragments.
"Keep dreaming. I've jammed every signal in this place."
The ice in my stare made Bryan tremble.
Sending messages was out of the question - even phone calls were impossible now.
The physicians who witnessed the scene had already fled.
I didn't bother with explanations. Swift strikes to Mack, Lauren, and Bryan's heads sealed their pressure points, leaving them slumped and paralyzed.
My fingers dipped into Lauren's pocket, extracting a key ring.
"I'm rescuing him. Find somewhere secure to wait."
I instructed Elizabeth.
Elizabeth hesitated momentarily before seizing my wrist. "I'm coming too."
We advanced together. Larry guided us forward while Elizabeth and I followed close behind.
We reached a cramped straw hut where bitter wind whistled through gaps, iron bars caging the exterior.
