Chapter 6 - Why Guides Matter

Now, the average lifespan of people was about three hundred to five hundred years.

Those who were neither Omega nor Alpha lived around three hundred years.

But Omega and Alpha lived longer, with five hundred years being the average.

Some who had strong bodies could even live seven to eight hundred years.

If Alpha relied only on self-cultivation, then a low-level Alpha might train their entire life until death before maybe breaking through to mid-level.

That speed was far too slow.

But the meat of mutated beasts could help them quickly grow stronger, increase their powers, and rise as true experts.

Of course, good things always came with difficulties.

The meat of mutated beasts was very useful, the higher the grade of the mutated beast, the more useful its meat was.

Yet, there was a major problem with eating this meat.

Within it, there existed impurities that could never be removed.

These impurities were invisible and intangible.

After an Alpha ate the meat of an mutated beast, those impurities would invade their mind.

Everyone knew that Alpha excelled at fighting with their powers, but they were not good at training or strengthening their mental space.

If an Alpha's mental space was polluted, then as the degree of pollution deepened, their temper would become more and more violent.

In the end, they might even go completely insane and in worse cases, they could self-destruct.

That was why, for Alpha who constantly craved strength and ate the flesh of mutated beasts, a Omega who could cleanse their polluted minds was like a savior.

Normally, someone who had just become a low-level Omega could only disperse the pollution inside the mental space of low-level Alpha.

A person who had been a low-level Omega for a long time, whose spiritual power was stable, could help cleanse mid-level Alpha.

As for mid-level Omega, they could cleanse mid-level Alpha and even some high-level Alpha whose mental space was not yet too severely polluted.

But high-level Omega were different.

For them, almost no mental pollution could trouble them.

Unless the Alpha had already gone completely insane and their mental space fully collapsed and beyond repair, only in that case was there truly no hope left.

At this moment, Jin Buyeon was already a mid-level Omega.

Her father was a high-level Alpha, one of the strongest in the capital star, someone who could stand in the front ranks even among the most powerful.

Even so, Jin Buyeon alone was able to cleanse the mental pollution in her father's mental space.

Because when cleansing an Alpha's mental pollution, multiple Omega could not work together, nor could they switch halfway.

For this reason, every time it was over, Jin Buyeon would be so exhausted that she could barely stand up and her whole body trembling as if she had been drained dry.

This made her family feel terribly distressed for her.

But even so, Jin Buyeon truly could purify the mental space of a man who was considered a powerhouse among high-level Alpha.
