This gave some of them a sigh of relief.
"Rest? How the only thing here are these chairs?" Weiss pointed towards the set of chairs irritated as they soon morphed between a movie theater recliner and a fully furnished queen sized bed with built in food trays.
"what if we needed to eat or relieve ourselves? Surely you don't suggest we-" Before she could even finish the empty food tray was filled up to the brim like it was there before.
"Woah, there's a lot of food there!" Ruby excitedly rushed towards the food trays and grabbed a plate of the food. Surprising Weiss as she looked at the plates that shifted between whatever food the two specified both common and hot as well as rare and cold.
Blake just sighed as she walked after her teammates to prevent them from emptying the whole thing.
After settling around, all of them manage to find a seat that they like and food at hand for them to snack on. Yang munching on a plate of cookies with Ruby flashed thumbs up between bites and the screen roared to life.
All of them kept quiet as they watch the screenplay, they were excited for what was going to happen.

"Ninety Years ago There lived a great king who was said to be able to glimpse into the future. I wonder was this the future he saw or one he hoped for?" a voice asks to itself off screen. As the voice speaks the image fades into a story book esque drawing showing a Noble king clad in green sighing at two approaching armies. The king then picks up feather and ink as the camera fades again.
A map of remnant is shown is spinning and zooming in until it lands in the pinpoint center of the ocean. Then to a small archepeligo, Where two armies are lined up to fight but then a silver light flashed and behind it stood a man with golden cane with bright blue highlights. On the man's head was a crown with a similliar design.
"It was amazing back then..To think with his might he could have caused total destruction to both armies yet instead he used his might to build the foundation of this shallow peace. He even pooled all of humanity together to build this city."
The King Nodded to his left and right causing the leaders of their respective armies one human and one faunus to come together and shake hands. Then the king produced to items to the man he passed a lamp to the faunus he passed the blade on his waist. Both looked at the king in shock.
The king then smiled and led both armies to lay down their weapons and pick up tool and equipment as both sides began laying down bricks and sand to expand the tiny beach they were stationed.
The story book esque art slowly fades as more people join the construction until finally five towers are placed around the city as the camera pans across the city showing people of all creeds both human and faunus living peacefully while occasionaly looking towards the distance at a giant banner hanging from almost every building in the city.
[77th Class of Vytal Academy Opening Ceramony All Welcome] The screen then changed to an absolutely massive facility surrounded by trees.The massive school towers over all the other buildings in this bustling urban area.
"The school stands at the center of the entire world It brings in top students from every field imaginable. A government-funded school of privilege.With almost a century of tradition, it sends the cream of the crop into the world every year. They say that if you come here and manage to graduate, you'll be set for life."
The camera shows multiple silloutes each either holding a rewards or being cheered on by crowds as they walk past, Some even look down over the city form massive skyscrapers, One even cuts in massive turkey as they feed it to hungry looking people around the city.
"Well its called Vytal academy after the Kings final words 'A place like this is Vital for the future.' No one knew if it was magic or something else but the kings final words ignited a strong sense of Hope in everyone present causing the academy to finished a few years later ahead of schedule. Then every two years it would enroll the best of the best and every single year these students would go out and bring Hope wherever they went.
Eventually a few years ago one member of the schools council said 'It was built to raise hope in the nation's future. Which makes Hope's Peak a pretty fitting name'. Ever since it was hardly referred to by Vytal academy instead we all just called it Hopes Peak"
"There are two things you need to attend this school…One, you have to already be attending high school. Two, you have to be the very best at what you do.No ordinary student could enroll here. The only way in is if you're scouted by the school itself. And standing there at the gate of the ultimate school filled with ultimate students…"
The camera panned down to show a boy with light blond hair, red shoes, and a black hoodie with a bunny mascot on it. the one and only Jaune Arc, staring up at the school with sheer awe in his eyes.
"Yeah... me... Jaune Arc."

"It seemed that way when I first saw Beacon too I thought it was the best thing ever i mean all the people i talked to especially dad and uncle Qrow all said it was the best years they ever had." Comments Ruby.
"I think that school is bigger than Beacon, Ruby Though i must agree i also felt the same especially with how..Unique our introductions were." Weiss smiles to Ruby who blushes a bit.
"Geez," Yang groaned. "We get it, it's a big deal! Tell us something we don't know!"
"If we're going to watch this world, Yang, we should understand as much as we can about it, besides i think Ruby is right after all inspiring hope and helping others haven't we done plenty since we arrived in beacon? "Blake chastised while slowly grasping Yang's hand in her own.
"Then how did Jaune get in?" Weiss asked with a quirked eyebrow. At the Questioning stares from the others, she raised her hands. "Don't look at me, it's simply a fact that he's not exactly the academic best." Under Ruby's constant stare she then sighed. "Though even I must admit he's improved by leaps and bounds from when he first joined beacon."
"See he must have done something to really stand out,and he got in we totally have to be there!" Ruby beamed, wrapping an arm around Weiss causing her to smile .

" As you can see, I'm nothing but a hopelessly average high school student Average on the outside, average on the inside.I really don't have much going for me when it comes to grades, special abilities, even personality.
I mean yeah, I have hobbies and stuff I like to do, but it's not like I'm a psychic or mutant or whatever Like, if you asked me what my favorite song was, or my favorite movie or TV show… They'd all just be whatever's most popular at that particular moment."

"Honestly, it's rather impressive how much he thinks he's normal." Commented Blake.
Ruby slaps her palms against the chair and exclaimed excitedly. "I figured it out! so during the veiwing this time. Jaune's the protaginist, you know the Every man whose shoes you can just sorta step into."
"Do movies do this often." Weiss asks unsure.
"Yeah sure, tons." Yang interjects. "I mean more often than not they don't really talk either. You know the silent protag type."
"There you go that's how he got in!" Exclaimed Ruby happily. "he's the underdog!"
Weiss did not understand so she just stayed silent.

Even among the average, I'm completely average. So I can't even say I'm you "everyday hero" type. That's just who I am. Anyway, I figure it's always good to introduce yourself right off the bat. But you know, if I have any kind of "strong point," so to speak…
I'd say I'm a little more gung-ho than other people.I mean look at me. I'm completely ordinary, but still…Here I am, standing in front of the anything but ordinary Hope's Peak Academy.
Looking down at his shoes then again at the massive crowd surrounding the doors and heading in around him Jaune just sighed "I still can't believe I'm standing here. I wonder if someone like me can survive in a place like this…"
It's got this overwhelming presence...like it's trying to swallow me whole. But it's no wonder I would feel that way. What you have to understand is...Well, let me just tell you about the " preparation" I did last night to get ready for today.

"I bet he made some 'preparations', if you know what I mean." Yang said while wiggling her eyebrows. The four other occupants of the room groaned in response

Hope's Peak only invites those students who are the truly elite in their field. It's such a popular topic, there are threads online dedicated to talking about the school's attendees.So to prepare, I looked up some of those threads. And all I saw was talk about " ultimate" students, who were way beyond your average high schooler.

"Ultimate huntress!" Shouted Ruby.
"Ultimate Heiress." Weiss quietly added.
"Ultimate pun master and Blake would be the ultimate ninja." Yang says.

The screen then changed to a group of five girls on stage. The one in the center had brown hair with sunglasses and was the most prominent of the group. For example, one incoming student is the " Ultimate Idol Sensation." She sold out so many stadiums and arenas that people eventually made a joke that it was easier for a fish to fly than it was to get a ticket to her performance.
Well That's one of the many reasons that I was suprised when I saw her name.Though it was hard to ignore her especially with the bugging of my sister.I guess it's not easy for her anymore after all she's a high school girl who's also the lead singer for group famous all over the world.

"Idol?" Asked a confused Ruby.
"Oh right, you don't have those." Said Weiss before turning towards Ruby.
"it's basically a music group with upbeat music mostly consisting of girls our age. They're quite popular in Mantle from what i heard though i didn't know it was big enough to be considered for such a place as Hope's Peak."As she finished she let out a deep breath as her side was quickly squezeed.
"Wow Weiss you're like a music genius!" Ruby said while giving Weiss a tight side hug,.
'Hmph Of course I should be I was classically trained after all." Weiss said while gently returning her friends hug.

The screen then changes to a intense blue haired boy in a baseball uniform with a shaved head. The boy was holding a bat which he was slamming into a baseball.
There's also the " Ultimate Baseball Star."
He was the cleanup hitter for the national middle school and high school champs. Pro teams already have their eyes on him. Some official coaches were even caught trying to bribe him into joining there teams early under a disguise though he refused for some reason.

"Anyway, I haven't played baseball since I was a kid." Comments Ruby while ignoring her sister.
"Where would you play on Patch?" Asked Blake
It was Yang who answered "one of the farmers let the kids on the island use his field in the winter and we ended up playing all sorts of games."

The screen then changes again to show a whole bunch of magazines, the same black haired blue eyed girl with pigtails on every cover in a variety of outfits.
Then there's the " Ultimate Fashionista."
She's been on the cover of tons of fashion magazines. She's what every high school girl wants to be.I even caught Sapphron trying to imitate her one time. Though she said it was really only to understand why such fashion was popular since she was going to school to be a fashion designer.

"Oh, she's cute!" Like she's cuter than a hundred chihuahuas combined." Ruby gushed
"That's...oddly specific." Blake responded slowly.
"Ugh Her agian." Yang said while groaning.
"You know her?" Blake asked.
"Yeah I fought her before i got into beacon. She got blood all over my shoes it was so annoying." Yang groaned again remembering how long it took her to get Dad and Ruby off her back for that one.

The screen then showed an intense guy with a orange pompadour hair and a leather jacket on a motorcycle. Surrounding him were many more bikers, some holding flags that said 'Crazy Diamond'.
Oh, and they mentioned the " Ultimate Biker Gang Leader" too.
:The scary thing is, he's the de facto leader of every biker gang in Vytal. Gangs everywhere love the guy...

"Leading a bike gang is good enough to get him into a school of such prestige?" Weiss asked indignantly.
"They said you had to be the best in your field- and when they say any field, they mean it!" Blake finally understood.
"I suppose they must," Weiss frowned.
"I've never ridden in a group before, I wonder what that's like?" Blake pondered looking at Yang.
"Now that you mention it, I think I've only ever rode solo." Yang adds.
"I've never thought about it before, but this version of Cardin seems kinda cool." Ruby adds.
"Oh please, no matter the world he is just a ruffian!" Weiss scoffed.

The screen then switched back to the online forum.
On top of that, there's the Ultimate Body Builder, the Ultimate Beauty Therapist, the Ultimate Gambler.The Ultimate Swimming pro, the Ultimate Programmer, the Ultimate Botanist, and then some… Reading that made me realize how totally powerless I was. It was the country's finest, top to bottom. I felt like a tame little house cat who'd wandered into a pride of lions.But still, there was something I couldn't stop thinking about.
You see, there were a few students who I couldn't find any info on, no matter how much I looked. With all those "ultimate" students, I'm the only one without any kind of worthwhile talent. But then, what about those other new students who didn't seem to pop up anywhere?

"It is a School of privilege." Answers Blake.

I mean, I guess there *is* a reason…
You just have to take one glance at the acceptance letter they sent me to see why.
The screen then changed to show this acceptance letter along with an orientation guide.
"We recently held a lottery to select one ordinary student to attend our school."
"As a result, you have been selected, and we invite you to join us as the Ultimate Lucky Student."
They spelled it out plain as day--I got invited by pure luck.
Honestly, I probably would have been better off just declining their offer.But after hearing how graduating was a " guarantee for success" later in life, I just couldn't say no.

"He got in through luck?" Scoffed Weiss.
Ruby then got huffy all of a sudden, obviously because of her uncle "hey! Lucks real!"
"If it makes you feel better, think of it as probability." Blake says nonchalantly.further adding "The school was rather insulting as well, 'one ordinary student'." Blake said, intending to calm Ruby.
"...Ouch," Yang winced on Jaune's behalf.
"Well... I..." Ruby fumbled momentarily. "Jaune, maybedidn't get in with a fantastic talent... but if there's anywhere that will help you cultivate what you does have, I'm sure it's this school!"

But then, actually standing there in front of the school…I started to feel lost, like I didn't belong there. I could feel myself losing my nerves But still...I can't just stand here in front of the gate forever…
Frozen in place, murmuring to myself, I looked down at the acceptance letter clutched in my hand.It said there'd be a meeting for all incoming students in the main hall at 8 a.m The meeting still isn't for a little while, but...
I should probably just head in.
"Yeah... Yeah, let's do this!" I gathered up all my determination and tried to act like I'd done this a million times before. And I took my first step towards the main hall…
Inside the main hall.
"This is where we're supposed to meet, right? I guess I'm the first one here." There's a really elegant clock over in the corner. It says it's 7:10 a.m. It makes sense nobody else would be here yet...
I was so wound up, I got here way too early. I have plenty of time before the meeting. Just standing around waiting isn't exactly…
"I should take a look around the school. Maybe that'll help me calm down a little.": I *am* a student here now, so there shouldn't be any problem with me having a look around, right?
It'll help me kill some time, if nothing else.
Trying to play it cool, I took my first step into Hope's Peak Academy.It was also my first step toward starting a new life at a new school life ...At least, that's what I was hoping for.
The entrance hall began to swirl as if it were going down the drain.

"See, foreshadowing." Yang said while pointing at the screen.
"Is it really foreshadowing if it happens immediately?" Argued Blake.
"Hello, are we not going to address how the world is spinning!?" Weiss said while gesturing at the screen.
"Yeah, it doesn't really make sense. Maybe he's just hungry." Ruby agreed from her chair.
"Quiet you!" Weiss snapped before saying "I'm just going to continue."

But the instant I took that first step forward…
My view became warped, twisted.
It was like some kind of delusion, melting away and mixing together into something else. Spinning, mixing, melting away, then spinning again…And the next moment…
Everything went black.
At that point, I should have realized…
The reason I was brought to Hope's Peak Academy wasn't because I had ultimate good luck.
It was so I could experience Ultimate despair…

"Yep, it's all because of that foresh-ack." Yang tried to say only to be beamed in the head by one of the couch pillows thrown by Blake.
"Did he die!?" Ruby shouts in shock.
"What?" Weiss says confused "No! Of course he didn't die. Didn't you say you wanted a world where we would live in peace forever without Grimm?"
"Ahh Weiis Your the Bestest ever!" Ruby said as she cried into Weiss's lap.
