*Episode 4 – Countdown to the Next Freakie Friday"
Luna and I stood frozen, staring at Ajax's front door as it slammed shut behind him. His words echoed in my head like a curse: *"Wait till the next Freakie Friday... or be stuck forever."*
Forever?
"No way," I muttered, my voice shaking inside Luna's body. "We need to find out when the next Freakie Friday is. We *have to*."
Luna groaned, flipping her (my) hair in frustration. "What if it's next year? Or never again? This is a nightmare."
"It has to be soon," I said. "Ajax said it's a real thing. Maybe it happens once a month? Or maybe there's a pattern."
We decided to head to the school library—yes, the same place we usually avoided unless there was free Wi-Fi. But this time, we were on a mission. Luna (still in my body) strutted ahead while I tried to keep up, feeling weird being on the outside of my own walk.
Inside the library, we went straight to the computers and searched:
*"What is Freakie Friday?"*
*"Freakie Friday urban legend"*
*"Soul switch Friday magic"*
We found blogs, stories, and even some forums where people claimed the phenomenon happened when two people made a wish at *exactly 11:11 PM* on a Friday *while feeling misunderstood.*
"That's what happened to us," I said, scrolling. "We were arguing, both saying we wish the other person knew what it felt like to be us. Then BAM."
Luna leaned in. "So it wasn't just the day… it was the wish *and* the time."
We checked the calendar. The next Friday was only *three days away.* Our hope sparked again—until I read further.
"It says here... if the wish isn't undone on the *next* Freakie Friday after the switch, the souls will stay trapped permanently."
"So we only have one shot," Luna said, suddenly serious.
I nodded. "One chance."
We made a pact—no matter what, we would be at the exact same place, at 11:11 PM on Friday, and say the words that would undo it.
But we didn't expect what happened next.
As we walked out of the library, a girl from school—Jenny—bumped into us. She gave me (in Luna's body) a death glare.
"You think I wouldn't notice?" Jenny snapped. "You were all over my boyfriend in drama class today."
"Wha—what?" I stammered, realizing Luna must've flirted with someone while in my body.
Luna smirked. "He flirted with *me*. Not my fault."
Now we had another problem… and drama was the last thing we needed before Freakie Friday.
