Anu;
"Congratulations," I say, and he raises a brow in confusion.
"For?" He asks, and I grin.
"You've been promoted to volunteer staff." I tease, and he exhales through his nose.
"I'm regretting helping you already." He says fkatly, and my grin grows.
"Too late," I reply cheerfully.
I point toward the coffee machine as I speak.
"Payment for your services."
His eyes follow my finger, and then he looks back at me.
"Is it terrible?"
"Wow," I say, offended.
"You haven't even tried it yet," I add, and he scoffs.
"That doesn't answer the question." He replies but I march behind the counter and start making a cup anyway.
"Have some faith." I scold.
"Faith," he says slowly, as he sits across from me.
"is not something I associate with your cooking." He completes, and my jaw drops.
"That's rich coming from a man who couldn't get enough of my cooking just a few nights ago." I retort, and he shrugs.
"I was hungry." He replies flatly, and my eyes narrow.
