Anu;
It's times like these that make you regret volunteering to reorganise the new arrivals shelf.
Because what do you mean the trolley is broken!? That too, on the morning I chose to help!!
The wheel on the left side of the trolley keeps sticking… which means every time I try to push the trolley forward, it jerks sideways like a stubborn donkey refusing to move. I glare down at it as if that alone might shame it into cooperating.
It does not.
"Unbelievable," I mutter under my breath, trying to drag it forward again. The stack of books on top of it wobbles dangerously, and I pause.
They're hardcovers. Thick ones.
The kind that weigh like bricks but look deceptively harmless because of their pretty covers.
I push again, and the trolley screeches. Then the wheel jams completely.
I stare at it… It stares back, and my jaw clenches.
And I thought trolleys at supermarkets were the worst!!
"Fantastic," I sigh as I throw my hand up.
