"MOM! Via wants to meet that beautiful sister!"
The whimpers erupted again, echoing throughout the Williams Mansion. The mother, Angel, could only sigh deeply as she stared at her little daughter, who was now sitting on the marble floor with a flushed face. It had been three hours, and the same words had been repeated nonstop, making the atmosphere in the luxurious mansion feel both tense and exhausting.
"Honey, later. We'll meet that beautiful sister," Angel coaxed her daughter.
"When? Mama said that too yesterday, but it never happened!" Via replied sullenly.
Angel, watching her daughter begin to sulk, could only massage her temples, feeling dizzy from dealing with her stubbornness.
From the stairs, a young man descended with steady steps. He immediately approached the little girl, who was still sitting sullenly on the marble floor.
"Princess?" he called softly.
"Brother Yan..." Via whimpered, her eyes starting to well up with tears.
Maxssyan, seeing his princess's sadness, immediately lifted her tiny body into his arms. He carried Via to the large sofa in the living room and sat the little girl comfortably on his lap.
"Why, hmm?" he asked, hugging Via from behind, trying to convey some sense of calm.
"Brother Yan, Via wants to meet Big Sis Beautiful," he said again in the hoarse voice of a child who had just cried.
"Big Sis Beautiful?" Maxssyan frowned, looking at Angel as if demanding an explanation as to who this figure his sister kept mentioning was.
"Yeah... Yesterday, Mom said she wanted to take Via to meet Big Sis Cantik, but it didn't happen," Via complained, her lips pursed.
"Uhmm..." Maxssyan seemed to think for a moment. He rubbed the top of his sister's head affectionately. "What if Big Sis Yan finds Big Sis Cantik and brings her here?"
"Huh? You're serious, right? Big Sis Yan isn't lying, right?" Via asked enthusiastically. She immediately turned to face Maxssyan, her eyes now sparkling brightly.
"Uhmm... that's why Via has to pray that Brother Yan will meet that beautiful sister soon," Maxssyan said softly. His hands moved painstakingly to fix Via's slightly messy hairdo from her earlier tantrum.
"Okay! Thank you, Brother Yan. Via loves Brother Yan!" he said, hugging Maxssyan tightly, burying his face in his older brother's chest.
"Brother loves Princess more," Maxssyan replied softly, tightening his embrace, comforting his little sister.
Maxssyan smiled slightly, though inside he was starting to wonder. Who exactly was this woman who had managed to capture the attention of his very picky little brother?
Angel, witnessing the scene, looked at Maxssyan with a questioning gaze. Maxssyan, understanding his mother's concern, could only nod slowly, as if saying through his eyes, "I'll try to find her."
Accepting the nod, Angel could only exhale sharply. She knew her son's promise wasn't easy, but for now, it was the only way to restore peace to the Williams Mansion.
"Daddy?" a shrill voice from the door startled Angel and Maxssyan, who were about to embrace.
Maxssyan, the perpetrator, could only grin, showing his pearly white teeth.
"Hehe... sorry," he said innocently.
Maxsyn's shrill scream completely shattered the silence of the mansion. It wasn't long before James and Vanessa rushed out and approached the source of the commotion.
"What's going on? Why are you screaming like that?" James asked, staring at his children in surprise.
"Maxsyn! You're really giving me a heart attack! Do you think this is the jungle and you can scream as you please? Are you Tarzan just released from the cage?" Vanessa blurted out, glaring at Maxsyn with her hands on her hips.
Maxsyn, who was stared at like that, immediately shrank. He quickly walked over to his twin and hid behind his brother's back for protection.
"Honey," James called softly, trying to calm his wife.
"What?!" Vanessa turned quickly. "Daddy's going to defend him? Doesn't Daddy know that Mommy is sad right now because the Korean drama "Mummy" had a sad ending?" she said dramatically, wiping away her fake tears.
James, watching his wife's drama unfold, could only sigh. He was all too familiar with Vanessa's behavior when she was caught up in a Korean drama.
"Maxsyn?" James called firmly to his son.
Maxsyn, who had been called, slowly peeked his head out from behind his twin's back. He stared at his father with a wary gaze, trying to determine if he, too, was about to be scolded.
"Yes, papi," Maxsyn replied obediently. He began to take hesitant steps toward James.
"Why were you shouting earlier, hm?" James asked, looking at his son calmly but probingly.
Hearing that question, Maxsyn suddenly remembered the reason for the commotion. His fear of Vanessa suddenly disappeared, replaced by explosive enthusiasm. He became excited again, almost jumping on the spot.
"Papi! Did you know? There's trouble at Papa Yohan's office!" Maxsyn said in an excited tone.
"Problem?" asked Maxssyanβhis twin. He slowly released his embrace from Via, then got up and walked toward his twin with a curious frown.
"What problem?" he asked again, demanding a more detailed explanation.
"That one! Didn't you know? There's a serious problem at Papa's company that's costing Papa nearly four percent in losses!" Maxsyn said, his face as serious as possible.
"How is that possible?" Vanessa asked, confused. She had momentarily forgotten her sadness over the Korean drama.
"Right, Mom? Maxsyn is confused too. This is the first time Dad has experienced a loss. Wow... this is truly history-making!" Maxsyn said enthusiastically, as if the four percent loss were a major achievement worth celebrating.
"I'm looking around, why are you so happy?" Maxssyan asked in a strange tone, staring at his twin, who looked very enthusiastic.
"Yes, of course!" Maxsyn replied, beaming. "I want to know who the brave person is who has caused Papa to suffer a loss, imagine four percent. Wow, his courage deserves a thumbs up!" he said excitedly.
