Chapter 7 - The Veritability Of Nature

Mira stood at the edge of a forest that hadn't been there the last time. The Library had changed again — this time, alive with vines, glowing trees, and paths that moved when you blinked.

"This is the Veritability," the cat said, now perched on a floating root. "The truth beneath nature. Where stories are born from instinct."

Mira stepped forward, the air thick with the scent of rain and old magic. Her fingertips tingled. As she brushed a glowing leaf, her skin shimmered — feathers, then fur, then her hand again.

She gasped. "I… changed?"

The cat nodded. "Your story's deeper now. The more you understand the world, the more you understand yourself."

A deer stumbled from the trees, limping, frightened. Mira knelt beside it, placing her hand gently on its side.

Warmth spread from her fingers.

The wound sealed. The deer blinked, calm, and trotted away.

Mira's eyes filled with quiet wonder. "I can heal."

"You can shift. You can mend. You can feel what's true," the cat said. "But this gift comes with weight. Not all who shift remember who they were."

She looked at her hand, now steady, glowing faintly.

"I won't forget."

The forest whispered its approval.

Somewhere deeper in the Veritability, something stirred — waiting to meet her.
