The king raised his hand and the wolf was released , the beast started running towards us .
The beast was fast with its huge body and within a matter of minutes it had already caught up to us .
It started tearing through the slaves like they were a piece of paper , others ran away and some had given up on winning and just given in for the beast to end their suffering.
Nexus was part of the group that ran away as he was also turfied and didn't want to die.
"Sh...!
"How are we supposed to beat that thing?
Nexus asked him this while he was taking a breather.
"This is insane , that thing is killing us like ants on an open field!
Nexus's body couldn't stop shaking from the fear of that beast that they were facing.
"Rwaaa!
The beast roared as it charged forward tearing everything in its path apart.
"Run !
"Run!
"Ahhh!
"Help me!
"Save me !
The scene traumatized Nexus as his body stopped moving and he just stood there witnessing a horroreffing scene.
Blood was everywhere , screams of the slaves that were caught in the middle of the dire mangs rampage.
Some slaves escape and they started running towards Nexus's location , the creature chased after them tearing them up one by one.
Nexus was still in a stunned state of what was happening and before he realized the dire mang was heading his way.
The dire mang arrived before he could turn and run away , it swung its paw at full force towards Nexus's head.
Nexus reacted just in time to block the attack but was sent flying into the wall , he had used both of his arms to block the attack but he still suffered some damage.
The gauntlets he was wearing absorbed most of the damage and prevented his arms from snapping.
"Ahhh!
"It hurts!
Damn why am I so dizzy , oh crap I forgot I got hit by that damned beast
Nexus took minutes before he could get and even then he still struggled to stand up.
Nexus looked at the battlefield and saw that the beast had reduced their numbers from forty to ten in an instant.
Damn how are we supposed to take that thing down when we can't even defend against one of its attacks.
Nexus's mind was trying to figure out how to beat this thing , he had always been good at solving problems mid battle as tends to fight a lot in the slums.
Okay, okay , oh I remember that weird guy from before said that that dire mang had suffered a terrible wound.
So I am guessing its battle power has been greatly reduced , so I just need to find where the wound is and finish off this thing.
But I can't just attack while it's on a rampage , I need to find a way to ambush it.
While he was busy running ideas on how to beat that beast something rather interesting caught his eye.
The beast had stopped in its rampage and had been fighting someone. This happened while Nexus was busy thinking of a way to beat this beast.
The beast was fighting a man holding a sword and shield , he looked like an experienced fighter with the way he was handling the beast but even he had limits .
Nexus took the advantage and started to sprint at full force to where the beast was .
It took him a while to get there with all of his injuries , he saw that the beast was not paying attention to its surroundings and was only focused on the battle with that man.
Nexus rushed forward and delivered a right hook with all of his might on the right belly of the beast.
The attack didn't do much damage but it was enough to help the man gain the upper hand.
The man used the opportunity to cut the beast's left eye, limiting its eye site.
"Hey what were you doing?
I was just trying to help.
"You know if the dire mang hadn't been distracted you could have been killed!
But it worked didn't it , so why are you complaining?
You know what--------- awhooo awhooo!
The creature was more furries than ever , it's body went from being big to small , it's fur turning all light blue and it's eyes golden.
Kid be ---------! Before the man could finish his sentence the beast teleported right in front of Nexus and hit right in the chest , the attack sent Nexus flying meters away before he crashed into the ground.
Sh...!
The beast teleported again and this time it appeared before the man , it swung its paw that had streaks of golden light radiating around it.
The man used his shield to try and block the attack but the attack toured through the shield and landed on his chest.
The attack sent the man flying meters and meters away before he crashed into a wall.
"Doom!
The loud noise woke up nexus who had passed out after getting hit with that sneak attack.
"Argh!
"That bastard caught me off guard!
Nexus's body was in pain and was bleeding from the head , his chest was where it was the worst, it felt like a bunch of ribs had been broken in that attack.
"Bluh !
Nexus coughed out a month full of blood and was feeling dizzy.
"Damn! This thing does really know how to pack a punch huh.
Nexus stood up still feeling dizzy from the attack, he searched the surroundings for the beast and found that the thing had defeated the man with the shield and was busy killing off the rest of the survivors.
"What should I do now? Nexus asked himself this question.
While he was busy thinking of a way to finish off this creature something unexpected happened, the beast started to grow into its former state like it has just finished using its (beserk) skill.
But something was off. The beast moved slower than it did before and it had a hard time breathing.
This is it , this is the chance nexus has been waiting for.
Nexus instinctively rushed forward with out thinking , his body was moving on its own.
This was a first for Nexus as this has never happened before even when he was fighting in the slums.
He went with the flow of his body and before he knew it he was in front of the creature , the creature detected him (eminently) and throw a paw his way.
Nexus panicked on the attack because the creature moved faster than he could react and now his head was seconds away from begin torn from his body but again his body moved before he could even think and dodged the attack.
The creatures' attack tour through the ground and nexus remained unharmed.
"What happened?
Nexus touched his head with sweat dropping off of him , he was sure he was dead and again his body moved while he was in a state of panic.
"What is this feeling!
Nexus has never felt like this even when he was fighting in the slums or when he was out numbered by kongs stave, this was a new feeling he had never felt before , his blood was rushing in his body , the fear he had disappeared , he felt like he could fight this creature and win.
The creature reacted and swung it's tale at nexus but to nexus this attack was slower than usual it was like the creature was slower than it was when it had just came out of it's rampage mode but in reality the creature was still as fast as it was when it was in it's rampage mode.
It's just to nexus it was slower to him because had awakened his battle instinct and was experiencing things that weren't normal to him.
While nexus was busy trying to settle into this new thing that he was experiencing his body moved again and this time he ran towards the beast .
The dire mang turned around and started running towards the last human in this battlefield , out of the forty only Nexus was the only one standing and was about to clash with the creature.
The mang jumped and tried to land on top of nexus's head but nexus sidestepped and dodged the attack and at the same time he went in for a counter.
He went in to the creatures blind spot and unleashed multiple right and left hooks onto the belly of the beast , nexus didn't stop there as he did a back flip and retreated before the beast could turn and counter attack.
The scenario continued with Nexus attacking the mang's blind spot which is its left side where it had been cut off and it couldn't counter Nexus as he was too fast at attacking and retreating.
Eventually the mang gave in to the damage it suffered and was on its last leg's and it couldn't sustain one more attack or it would die.
Nexus rushed inside stepping to confuse the beast and enter its blind spot , the method worked as the beast had limited movement.
Nex landed a right hook on the left side of the belly of the creature but was met with a paw to the chest that sent him flying meters back before he slammed into the ground.
The attack caused nexus some pain but he stood up after a minute or two which was a surprise to nexus as he took on the blow from the creature last time and was out for about five minutes or so and now it didn't take him that long to stand up.
Nexus gazed at the creature as if he was ready to defend against its attack but what he saw next caught him off guard , the creature was not moving at all it stood in the same position as it did before it unleashed a counter strike against Nexus.
"The thing is dead?
"And with that ladies and gentlemen the match is over!
The creature that once went on unbeaten streak is now but a corpse right now and out of the forty -five slaves only one remains.
With this the match of the trails is over , thank you for coming to watch this amazing match up and we can't wait for the second match to begin.

The gate opened and two knights came out , the two of them went straight to nexus's direction where he was dazed at how he had actually won the fight.
"Hey you come with us !
Right when Nexus was about to move he suddenly fell to the ground and lost conciseness , the damage he had suffered from the mang were now taking its effects.
"Argh! What happened?
"Ohh sh...! Now I remember.
I won the fight against the dire mang and was about to follow the knight who came to get me but I suddenly fell on the ground.
That's all I can remember , what happened afterwards?
"So you're awake?
"Who's there?
Nexus looked at his left to see who it was that just spoke.
Don't mind me I am just a slave just like you , your fight was amazing kid.
The man that spoke slowly stepped out of the shadows walking straight to where nexus was.
Do I know you?
No kid and I think you will never will with your current injuries .
Nexus instinctively looked at his body after the man mentioned he had injuries.
"Sh...! How did I get this much injuries , before I was just fine.
"But what happened ?
IT seems you notice.
Your situation is rare kid , it isn't the first time I have seen this .
