Nexus stood up but could barely balance his body, blood was covering his face making him see everything in red.
The wolf walked to his position slowly as if it was mocking him , saying he was a weak opponent that didn't deserve its respect.
Nexus breathed in and out trying to balance himself.
"After he was done , he looked at the wolf head on , wolf I see why you are doing this weird behavior and for that you have my gratitude, you reminded me that underestimating your enemies will get you killed and that if you don't give it your all in every fight from the beginning you will die before you could even get serious and I thank you for that, with that done let's get down to business."
The wolf stopped for a moment looking at its opponent like it was about to face a wild animal that was backed into a corner and had nothing left, although it couldn't understand Nexus's words it understood his body language.
Nexus started running towards the creature without even caring about defending himself anymore.
The wolf reacted too as it rushed towards him while howling, as if it was acknowledging him as a true opponent.
The two met half way and exchanged a thew moves as neither of them were willing surrender.
Nexus moved in and delivered a clean upper cut followed by a calf kick and a kick to the temple.
The combo sent the creature tombeling into the ground and nexus didn't even give it time to catch its breath as he had already jumped and was in the motion of delivering a hammer strike.
The creatures instincts kicked in and it rolled away dodging the attack and at the same time it used it's so called out speed to burst forward and caught Nexus with a spear as they both fell to the ground.
The wolf had managed to get on top of nexus's and without wasting it's time it tried to Pierce nexus's face with its claws but Nexus had managed to catch its paw mid motion.
The two were in a stalemate of who can overpower the other one .
Nex eventually won the stalemate as he managed to escape the lock.
Nexus stood there facing the creature with everything he had , keeping up with it and even landing severe damage to its body.
The wolf coughed out blue blood from its mouth and was struggling to stand.
Nexus on the other hand was breathing heavily and his Old wound's started to act up.
But this didn't stop the both of them as they still continued to fight with everything they got.
Nexus rushed towards the wolf smiling even tho he was in pain , he threw a punch to the gut but the wolf blocked it and respond with a kick to the temple but nex took two steps back and managed to dodge it and at the same time blasted himself forward to deliver to clean hits to the temple and jaw followed by a kick to calf making the wolf go down on one knee, and finishing it of with a back heel kick to the face which sent the wolf flying a few meters back before crashing into the ground.
Nexus rushed towards the creature in order to finish this fight because he was running out of time and couldn't ignore his injuries any more.
The wolf could barely move as it had suffered horrifying injuries from the inside and it couldn't howl anymore as blood filled its throat.
Nexus finally reached the wolf and climbed on top of it , and started to strangle it to death with both of his hands.
The creature retaliated, using its claws to scratch and cut nex but took them head on and after a while the wolf stopped moving completely.
Nexus let the wolf go as he fell on his back near the corpse of the creature, he felt it too , his wounds were starting to kick in.
He breathed heavily before passing out.

"Kid wake up!"
"You have slept enough!" , if you don't I'll wake you up myself!
"Argh!" , what was I doing again?
"Oh I just ---------- doom!"
Whoosh as Nexus was sent tumbling a few meters back.
"Wait, is that wolf still alive?"
Nexus opened his eyes in a hurry and moved instantaneously and jumped back only to see that he wasn't in the arena.
"Ah I see you're finally up!"
"How long was I out old man?"
"I think a couple of days, I am not sure ?"
"But I am still happy you are still staying on guard even when you're sleeping."
"I see fighting that wolf has taught you something you will never forget."
"That's why last time I said rather overestimate your opponent than underestimating them or it will get you killed, remember in the battlefield there's only one rule: kill or be killed."
"That's survival of the fittest , if you can't keep up then you'll be the prey."
"I get it old man , it won't happen again."
"Oh yeah while we're on topic, your next fight was supposed to be yesterday but since you were out the schedule it for tomorrow."
"And to top it off you will be fighting again the day after and so on."
"So there's no more resting for you boy so let's start with your training!"
