After leaving work, I headed home. After dinner, I opened the system screen. I had accumulated 400 points.
I spent 256 points to increase my Agility and Resistance by one point each.
RYAN MILLER (Level 9)
Agility: 8 → 9
Strength: 9
Endurance: 9
Resistance: 8 → 9
Points: 144
Soon, I would finally be able to choose the football player profession.
For the next two days, I had no part-time work, so I planned to train for three hours after school. I followed my plan, and my points reached 360. I invested all of it into my Strength.
Strength: 9 → 10
I immediately felt the changes in my body.
The next five days passed the same way as the previous week. During those days, I earned a total of 680 points, bringing me up to 784 points. I finally had enough to raise all my stats to 10.
I added one point to each stat except Strength:
Agility: 9 → 10
Endurance: 9 → 10
Resistance: 9 → 10
Just then, the system spoke:
• You have reached Level 10. You gained 1000 points.
I checked my status again:
RYAN MILLER (Level 10)
Agility: 10
Strength: 10
Endurance: 10
Resistance: 10
Points: 1016
I immediately navigated to the job menu to choose the football player profession.
• You have selected the Football Player profession. New development paths have been unlocked.
After selecting the profession, a large panel filled with upgrade options appeared before me. I spent the entire night examining all of them.
In the morning, after getting ready, I went to school. After the first class ended, I asked David some questions about becoming a football player during the break.
— David, how do people become football players here? Where do they go to become professionals?
Since this world was different, I didn't know how the system worked here. In my previous world, you could join a youth academy or a football school to take the first step. But the biggest problem was always bribery—rich families always had the advantage.
This world was probably the same, but since some clubs still valued talent, people like me, with little money, still had a chance.
When I asked David, I learned that it was almost the same as the old world, except for a few new details. This weekend, before going to work, I planned to gather information about youth academies.
Thanks to the money I'd earned in the past two weeks, I could now afford boots and football equipment. Maybe it was finally time to test my luck.
On the weekend, I woke up early. After quickly grabbing something to eat, I headed outside. According to the research I did the night before, there were 6 football academies and 15 football clubs in this region. One of those clubs was in the 4th Division, while the rest were amateur-level teams.
My priority was getting accepted by the 4th Division club. I knew it would be difficult, but I still had to try.
