Chapter 79 - Chapter 79: Disappear Among The Sea of Butterflies

"Hey, look over there, who's that?"

March called out to her companions, and the group quickly stepped forward.

Nero narrowed his eyes. According to his memories, this stretch of the Underworld experience would be an important turning point in Bronya's growth.

But right now, the anger from being chased and blocked earlier still hadn't faded, so this was what he said, "Oh, just someone who lacks her own judgment when doing things."

March curled her lips and turned to look at Nero, saying helplessly, "Why are you still holding a grudge?"

Nero crossed his arms and turned his head away. "Hmph!"

He was a young man, after all. If you counted from the moment he transmigrated, he was only three days older than the Stellaron itself.

As a young person, he absolutely could not stand suffering even the slightest loss.

Offend him and think you can just walk away?

How could there be such a good thing.

Just using his mouth was already Nero being very generous, okay.

March blinked at Nero a couple of times, then finally showed a helpless smile. The pretty girl raised her hand and rubbed Nero's head.

The boy's hair was very soft, his snow-white strands actually felt like goose down to the touch.

"Kids who hold grudges too much isn't a good thing..."

"I'm not holding a grudge!" Nero said. "I'm just walking the path of the Hunt!"

March shrugged and didn't say anything more, instead turning to look at Bronya in the middle of the crowd.

"Judging by this, it looks like she's run into some trouble..."

Even though she said that, March had no intention of making a move right away.

Stelle stood to the side, also just watching.

The two of them might not be holding grudges, but they were still somewhat biased toward Nero. What's more, judging by the situation, it didn't look like anyone was going to die anytime soon.

As for what to do specifically, it'd be better to listen to what the reliable Teacher Dan Heng had to say.

Dan Heng closed his eyes and thought, considering what decision should be made next.

Whether to startle the snake by beating the grass, what consequences different strategies would bring, how those consequences would affect the squad's interests, whether there was a possibility for negotiations, and so on... all kinds of factors were being weighed in Dan Heng's mind.

So much so that the four members of the Trailblazer squad ended up standing there like four OMOs.

Nero even took the time to pull out his phone and snap photos of Bronya surrounded by the crowd, one long shot and one close-up, then sent them to the Train Family group chat, adding the following text, [This girl is called Bronya Rand. She's the daughter of that annoying Supreme Guardian, Cocolia Rand. She's the one who led the Silvermane Guards chasing us through ten streets in the Backwater Pass!]

After sending the message, Nero suddenly thought of something.

If he released these chat records later as bonus content or something like that, wouldn't it also help him gain popularity to some extent?

But for now, Mr. Yang's reactions were still a bit sparse. He'd wait until he saved up more, then let the system drop a big one.

At this moment, Sampo's flustered voice came over, tinged with pleading.

From the way he sounded, it was like disaster was about to strike at any second.

"Ladies, gentlemen, don't just stand by and watch! This really, really can't be allowed to blow up into something big..."

As soon as Sampo said that, March put her hands on her hips. "The way you say that kinda makes me want to see you get unlucky."

March's words made Sampo's eyebrow twitch. He looked at her in surprise, then looked at Nero in even greater shock.

'Huh?'

'Is my little colleague really that awesome?'

'Did he actually drag the Nameless onto the Path of Elation?'

'Although, yeah, being the one people were watching for entertainment wasn't exactly great...'

Nero looked at Sampo in confusion, not knowing what the other guy meant.

If he knew what Sampo was thinking, he'd probably answer like this, ("I figured ghost-fire youths and spirited young guys go hand in hand, right? Maybe Aha and Akivili were best buddies once!")

("Like, the strongest Emanator of Trailblaze is Aha, and the strongest Emanator of Elation is Akivili, that kind of thing...")

At this point, Dan Heng believed that borrowing momentum in the Underworld was very important, but the possibility of maintaining communication and negotiations with the upper-level authorities also couldn't be completely abandoned.

Fortunately, under the current circumstances, the people of the Underworld knew very little about them. What's more, the Trailblazer squad truly was in the position of victims... so as long as they didn't make too big a move, anything would be easy to explain.

And leaving behind an image of being warm-hearted and repaying kindness with kindness among the people of the Underworld would also be very good. It would give them a favorable position when communicating with the Underworld's leadership.

As for those not on the leadership level, they weren't important for now.

Fools and mobs, no matter the place or the era, were never in short supply. Their thoughts didn't matter in the first place, because aside from beating them until they were scared, their ideas would never change.

As for ordinary civilians, as long as successful negotiations were reached with the leadership, over time their conscience and normal thinking would naturally recognize the image of the train crew. There was no need for excessive explanations.

Having thought all this through, Dan Heng made his decision and said to his companions, "We should avoid drawing too much attention, but since we've seen this, we can't just leave that child alone."

March and Stelle glanced at Dan Heng and understood what they needed to do next.

Nero also nodded. "Okay, we'll listen to Teacher Dan Heng."

Stelle raised her hand and said, "That's right. We can't just stand by. The Galactic Baseballer is ready to go."

Beside them, Sampo nodded repeatedly. "Right, right! Exactly!"

March smiled as well. "Let's go help her!"

At this moment, among the crowd, a drifter raised the gun in his hand and aimed it at Bronya, snarling viciously, "So arrogant, then don't blame me for not holding back!"

Immediately after, he pulled the trigger. Muzzle flash burst forth, and the bullet flew out of the chamber.

Bronya realized that the attack was coming and had already started to retreat, but no matter how fast she was, how could she be faster than a bullet?

As everyone knows, beyond seven steps, the gun is fast; within seven steps, the gun is even faster and more accurate.

Of course, this rule didn't apply when it came to overpowered individuals like Nero, Dan Heng, Seele, and the like.

The bullet had already been fired, and the members of the train squad were just about to step in to rescue her, when they suddenly stopped halfway through their movements.

Although they didn't know who it was, their keen senses clearly felt something approaching at incredible speed.

Nero had already realized who it was. He immediately rode the clear wind up into the air, pulled out his phone, and found a pretty good angle aimed at Bronya's direction.

They saw the bullet tip faintly glowing red as it sliced through the air, about to pierce into Bronya's body, when in an instant, countless flashes of blade light flickered past, instantly chopping the bullet into fragments.

In the next second, a violent surge of quantum fluctuations erupted. A figure appeared before everyone as if crossing through time and space.

Illusory butterflies scattered everywhere. A girl holding a massive scythe, dressed in sharp, practical attire, with long hair flowing freely and an unrestrained expression, stood there.

Her arrival stirred up a gust of wind, making the bright red ribbon on her left shoulder flutter.

The girl stood confidently, exuding an air of dominance. With one hand on her hip, her deep blue, slightly purplish eyes looked at the group of drifters with open contempt.

"Daring to make a move on our turf... care to trade a few more moves?"
