Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Determination of the Weak

Shallot had always wondered what kind of world he had truly been reincarnated into within the Dragon Ball universe, but now he could finally be certain.

This was definitely Dragon Ball.

However… this had to be an alternate Dragon Ball universe.

Hearing those iconic names—the fathers of two of the strongest Saiyans in the entire Dragon Ball multiverse—made it impossible to deny.

Paragus. Bardock.

The fathers of Broly and Son Goku.

Based on everything Shallot had thought about, this was the only conclusion he could reach.

From what Shallot had observed, the girls named Roka, Savoy, and Kalesa seemed to be counterparts modeled after Broly, Son Goku, and Vegeta.

But how could someone possibly turn those muscular Dragon Ball warriors into cute girls, one after another?

Shallot simply could not understand what kind of being could create something so bizarre.

What he didn't know, however, was that these were not their female versions—but rather counterparts from another universe, based on the fourteen universes of Dragon Ball under the Omni-King.

Turning around, Shallot walked toward the two babies.

Looking at Roka and Savoy sleeping peacefully, it was impossible for him not to feel something.

Judging from Princess Kalesa's personality, the one she was based on was surely Vegeta.

That meant Roka and Savoy were most likely counterparts of Broly and Son Goku.

One was the Legendary Super Saiyan, a warrior said to appear only once every thousand years in Saiyan history.

The other was the child of destiny of this world.

If his reasoning was correct, both of them would eventually become terrifying powerhouses.

Leaning closer, Shallot could not resist.

He pinched Roka's chubby cheeks—the one he believed to be Broly's counterpart—and gently stretched them from side to side.

Only when she seemed about to wake up did he quickly let go.

Then he moved to Savoy and did the same.

What an amazing feeling!

Shallot felt strangely satisfied, as if the secrets he had been trying to understand were finally within reach.

Standing up, Shallot didn't linger and walked straight out of the incubation capsule room.

"Shallot, in two days they'll test the combat potential of those brats in the room behind you. During that time, you'll be responsible for taking care of them. If anything goes wrong… I'll make your life hell."

As Shallot walked out, a Tuffle spoke to him with a malicious tone.

The other man was merely a Tuffle slave, one of the survivors of his race. Because of his intelligence, he had been brought to Planet Salada to help improve technology, but he had still been reduced to doing menial work.

Hearing the Tuffle's order, Shallot accepted the task of taking care of the babies in the incubation rooms.

Especially now that, according to his reasoning, he had discovered the equivalents of Broly and Son Goku in this universe.

"I'll take care of it," Shallot replied without showing any emotion.

It wasn't that Shallot wanted to refuse.

Based on his reasoning, he believed that Arctic might soon make a move now that the equivalents of Broly and Goku had been born.

Seeing how calmly Shallot accepted the task, the Tuffle smiled coldly and walked away arrogantly.

After all, everyone knew that Shallot was extremely meticulous with his work and rarely made mistakes.

That was exactly why he had been assigned to take care of the Saiyan babies.

Those little brats were incredibly difficult to manage. If something went wrong, the spoiled Saiyans would kill someone without hesitation.

Now that the responsibility had been dumped on Shallot, the Tuffle could finally relax.

Although Shallot was a Saiyan, he was very different from the typical ones.

Because he carried memories from another life, his personality had already been formed.

He could not suddenly become arrogant and aggressive like the others.

However, that did not mean he was cowardly or submissive.

He simply had his own plans.

Right now, he was too weak and an easy target for bullies.

Until things improved, he had no choice but to obey those who currently held power.

Shallot was not accepting this situation forever.

Until he gained enough power to stand on his own, he would endure.

After all, he was weak.

And the weak did not have the strength—or the determination—to refuse.

In the following days, Shallot carried out his task perfectly, taking care of the group of Saiyan newborns.

Unlike fragile human babies, young Saiyans were incredibly tough.

Even though they had just been born, many of them were already crawling around.

Occasionally, a particularly unruly one would crawl out of its capsule and fall to the floor, crying loudly.

Fortunately, Shallot had already become used to this kind of work and managed it without too much trouble.

Although the Saiyan race had a natural inclination toward violence, these babies knew nothing about that yet.

Shallot believed that if he treated them with kindness and care, they would naturally grow attached to him.

It was a basic instinct shared by all living beings.

In Shallot's opinion, although Saiyans were born with some violent tendencies, most of their brutality likely came from the environment they grew up in.

In such a cold and cruel world, even the kindest person could eventually lose themselves.

Among all the newborns, Shallot paid special attention to Roka and Savoy.

There was not much to say about Savoy.

The little girl was very calm and gentle.

Although Shallot had been reincarnated as a Saiyan, he did not feel any particular attachment to this race.

If his theory about Arctic turned out to be true, he would not feel much even if the entire Saiyan race were eventually wiped out.

The only good thing about this race, in his opinion, was that they could become incredibly strong very quickly.

Aside from that, he didn't care much.

As for Roka, Shallot considered her an unfortunate child.

Even though he wasn't certain she would follow a fate similar to Broly's, it was still something he could not ignore.

Remembering Broly's uncontrollable potential—the possibility of losing control and exploding with power at any moment—was not something Shallot could take lightly.

It was a problem he would have to deal with in the future.

If she was hungry, he fed her immediately.

If she was thirsty, he brought her water.

Worried that she might feel uncomfortable, Shallot even gently massaged her tiny arms and legs to improve her circulation.

He treated her almost like a little goddess.

Just as he had suspected, although Roka had just been born, her immense latent power was already beginning to awaken.

The energy she released unconsciously often frightened Savoy, who would burst into loud tears.

Whenever that happened, Shallot would first calm Roka down and then comfort Savoy.

Unlike the other babies, Roka always had a calm and expressionless face.

She never complained or cried.

Whenever Shallot tried to calm her, she would quietly withdraw her energy and settle down.

As for Savoy, since Shallot often played with her, she became surprisingly attached to him.

Whenever Shallot was busy taking care of the other Saiyan babies, she would grab onto his arm while babbling loudly.

And just like that, two days passed in the blink of an eye.

Soon, it was finally time to test the combat potential of the Saiyan babies.

One by one, the newborns were placed on the testing platform.

After a quick scan, their combat potential could be evaluated.

At the moment, most Saiyans on Planet Salada were low-class warriors.

There were only about a dozen mid-class warriors, and the only high-class warriors were the King and Princess Kalesa.

A warrior's rank was determined by the results of these tests.

Most newborns had combat potential in the hundreds, which was completely normal.

As they grew and trained, their combat power would likely exceed one thousand, qualifying them as low-class warriors.

However, those with combat potential below 30 were considered weak and hopeless.

They were sent to low-level planets without powerful enemies, abandoned there to survive on their own.

Although this was somewhat similar to the story Shallot remembered from his previous life, there were also many differences.

The first difference was that they were not sent to conquer those planets to prove their worth and return home.

The tests continued quickly.

only Roka and Savoy remained.
