My nerves are completely frayed as I wait for Austin's return. Whatever urgent matter pulled him away, he made absolutely certain I understood it had nothing to do with wanting to avoid our time together.

My fingertips drift to my mouth, the memory of his heated passion still burning against my lips.
While he handled his business, I used every minute to prepare. I took a long shower, carefully shaving everywhere that mattered, washing and styling my hair, then applying subtle makeup that enhanced my natural features.
I had just begun second-guessing myself in the mirror when his knock echoed through my door.
The moment I see him, my stomach erupts with butterflies. It's not that I'm reconsidering my choice - it's simply that I have no clue what lies ahead and my anxiety is running wild. But this is what I want. Desperately.
