Henderson's POV
After making sure Lorenzo was comfortable and settled in for the evening, I returned to our table where Percy waited. The dining hall buzzed with conversation and the clatter of silverware against plates.
"Luna, planning to show us up on patrol duty again tonight?" a warrior called out from across the room.
I paused, confused by his comment. "I'm sorry, what do you mean?"
"Last night during border patrol, you flew past us like we were standing still. Made us all look like we were crawling instead of running," he explained with a grin.
Heat crept up my neck as I remembered my restless run. I'd been so consumed with my turbulent emotions that I hadn't paid attention to anything around me, including the patrol teams.
"I apologize for that. Kain needed to burn off some energy, and I wasn't thinking about making anyone look bad," I replied, genuinely embarrassed.
