Lara's POV
It sounds like every romance novel cliche, but watching Austin fight is like witnessing pure artistry. Every movement flows with lethal grace, even when he stumbles or takes a hit. There's something mesmerizing about the way he carries himself in combat.
Deep down, I never doubted he would emerge victorious. His expression held that stubborn determination that refused to accept defeat. Maybe I should ask him to teach me some of those moves. The thought brings a smile to my lips as the instructor announces his victory and he jogs back toward our group, that devastating grin aimed directly at me.
Those panties are definitely coming off later tonight, Alpha.
He's moving in for a kiss when the announcement for the next round echoes across the training ground.
We both snap to attention immediately. I glance at Faith, who develops a wicked smile that promises trouble.
"Finally, my turn to put that witch in her place," she declares, striding toward the front of the group.
