Henderson's POV
"Could you help me put this on?" I whisper, my gaze locked on the stunning necklace in his hands. The weight of what this means hits me hard. Usher wanted his wolf image close to my heart before he even discovered our mate bond. If Percy and Usher had known I was destined to be theirs, this gesture would make perfect sense. But they didn't know. If fate had chosen someone else for me, no mate would ever tolerate another man's symbol hanging around my throat.
The only explanation that makes sense is that one of them sensed our connection before today's revelation.
His silence draws my attention upward, and I notice the deep crease between his brows.
"It won't work with the chain your parents gave you," he points out.
"Then I'll remove theirs," I say, rising from my seat and moving to where he sits. I perch on the armrest of his chair, waiting for him to help me with the clasp.
