Chapter 1 - THE DAY OF DARKNESS AND BRIGHTNESS

Chapter 1: The Day Everything Changed

👉 "I failed for the first time the day my grandmother died."

The ocean was silent. The sunshine began to fade, as if the world itself was slowly losing its light.

"My fate... it isn't decided by me," Angel whispered softly. "Someone else is changing my script."

A sudden sharp sound echoed through the great hall. Metal clashed against metal. Every head turned. Every eye stared.

Angel stood frozen.

She had failed.

For the first time.

Her grip on the fencing foil trembled. Her breathing grew uneven as whispers spread around her. She could feel their eyes judging her, as if she had done something wrong... something she had never done before.

This was her first fencing practice after her grandmother died.

And she failed.

"Focus..." she told herself, but her voice felt distant, like it didn't belong to her anymore.

Her chest tightened. Memories she couldn't fully remember flickered in her mind-fragments, broken pieces, shadows of something lost.

And yet... someone was always there.

Elsa.

Standing not too far away, calm as always, watching her. Not judging. Not surprised. Just... watching.

Angel didn't understand her.

She didn't even remember when Elsa became part of her life. It felt like she had always been there... and yet, something about her felt hidden.

Before Angel could think more-

"Boom!"

She gasped and shot up from her bed.

"What...?" she looked around, heart racing. "It was all a dream... maybe my imagination was too strong..."

Her eyes widened suddenly.

"What is the time-oh no... no... 8 AM?!"

"I'm late for school!"

She rushed, grabbing her uniform, her bag, barely fixing her hair as she ran out. Her heartbeat matched her footsteps as she sprinted through the streets.

By the time she reached the school gate, she stopped, breathing heavily.

"Why is the gate still open, Elsa?" she asked, confused.

Elsa, standing beside her like she had always been there, gave a small, knowing look.

"I knew you would forget," she said calmly. "Today is the science fair."

Angel blinked. "Oh..."

The school ground was crowded with students, tables filled with projects, voices everywhere-excited, loud, alive.

Angel took a step forward-

"Again the couch potato is late!"

She froze.

Peter.

His laughter cut through the air. "Hahaha!"

Angel clenched her fists. "Nooooo... not today..." she muttered under her breath.

But before anything else could happen-

The sky changed.

Dark clouds swallowed the sunlight in seconds. The air turned heavy.

A loud thunder cracked across the sky.

Students screamed.

Another flash-

Lightning tore through the clouds and struck the ground near the science fair. Sparks flew. Tables shook. Projects collapsed. Chaos erupted.

Angel couldn't move.

Her hand began to tremble.

A strange energy pulsed through her fingers-something unfamiliar... something powerful.

Elsa's eyes widened for the first time.

"Angel-!"

She rushed forward, reaching out to grab her-

but it was too late.

The lightning crashed into the ground, exploding into a blinding surge of light and energy that swallowed everything around them.

Angel's heart pounded violently as the world seemed to shift, break... change.

Nothing felt normal anymore.

Nothing was normal anymore.

And in that moment, as fear and something unknown rose inside her, only one thought echoed in her mind-

What happens now...?
