Emilia's POV
This pack operates completely differently from Dean's territory. The contrast shows in every detail, from Alpha Joseph's leadership style to Beta Karl's approachable manner, and even how the entire pack functions together. Dorothy has transformed too since I last knew her. She carries herself with newfound confidence, as though discovering her mate and accepting her role as Luna has awakened something powerful within her.
Despite the positive atmosphere, celebration feels impossible for me right now. I wander through the pack grounds, listening to bursts of cheering, melodic music, and genuine laughter echoing through the evening air. The joyful sounds feel alien against my current emotional state, creating an almost surreal disconnect.
My feet carry me toward the pack hospital without conscious direction. Like the patrol rotations, the medical staff has arranged shifts so everyone can participate in tonight's festivities.
