A-Ming's Ninja Performance Was Not Ideal

The moment the wind spirit manifested the Nine-Tails' chakra,

Inside the Bagua seal space at Naruto's navel,

A pair of narrow, fox-like eyes suddenly snapped open in the darkness.

"This aura… could it be my chakra!?"

Kurama, the Nine-Tails, looked around in disbelief.

It didn't feel any loss of chakra.

"Could it be… me? My Yin attribute?"

Due to the seal, Kurama could not accurately sense chakra properties.

When Minato sealed him, the beast had been split in two:

Half of the Yang attribute remained here, while the Yin half—along with Minato's soul—entered the Grim Reaper's stomach.

"Someone released my Yin half?"

Kurama narrowed its long, narrow eyes, scrutinizing the chakra outside.

"So weak… this amount of chakra is far too small."

"Was it released, then captured again, now lending its power like I am?"

The Nine-Tails guessed correctly.

Otherwise, the chakra would not be so feeble, completely lacking the imposing aura of a tailed beast.

"What a useless piece of trash! Escaped only to get caught again!"

Kurama had originally hoped its Yin counterpart might help rescue it.

Now, there was no chance—so it might as well keep sleeping.

Closing its eyes, Kurama ignored the faint chakra… never suspecting it wasn't the Yin half at all.

It was something entirely new: a system-created Nine-Tails.

---

Outside the seal:

"This… heart-pounding feeling…"

"It really is the Nine-Tails' chakra!"

"Okay! Okay! Okay!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes glimmered with fleeting greed before shifting to pure excitement.

Though the Nine-Tails' power was immense, only a living host could wield it.

After one last lingering glance at the pale red chakra, Hiruzen waved to Fuuki.

"Grandpa has seen enough. You should put it away now."

Feng Xu shot Hiruzen a look that could pierce stone, then expressionlessly withdrew the Nine-Tails' chakra.

Simultaneously, he relinquished control of the body.

In an instant, the aura and expression changed.

Naruto, beaming and approachable, took control.

"Third-generation Grandpa, I told you—Feng Xu is incredibly powerful!"

A system message pinged for Feng Xu:

[Current master personality trust dependency value: 35%]

Hiruzen Sarutobi offered advice, seeing Naruto's form:

"Impressive. But Naruto, don't fall behind. Even if the alternate personality is restrained, your strength must keep pace."

Naruto nodded obediently.

"Don't worry, Grandpa. These are potentials my body already possesses. If I train hard, I'll catch up soon!"

Hiruzen exhaled, relieved. Feng Xu's disregard made him unpredictable, but Naruto was manageable.

"Alright, that's enough for today. I'm glad to see you're well."

Having obtained the information he sought, Hiruzen didn't linger.

He took an envelope from his pocket.

"Two months' living expenses—a gift from Grandpa, to congratulate you in advance for graduating."

"Thank you, Third-Generation Grandpa!"

Naruto's grin widened as he accepted the thick envelope.

Looks like Ichiraku Ramen would see him a lot this month!

Hiruzen put on his Hokage hat as he walked toward the exit.

"According to village rules, once you become a genin, living expenses will no longer be provided."

"From now on, you must earn your keep by completing missions and collecting bounties."

"But don't worry. You'll have a teacher guiding you, step by step."

Naruto's excitement soared at the thought of missions and rewards.

"I understand! I'll do my best to complete tasks and earn money!"

"Good! Every village has its hardships."

After seeing Hiruzen off, Naruto eagerly opened the envelope.

"Lucky! Two thousand taels!"

Enough for thirty bowls of Ichiraku Ramen!

He carefully placed the money in the frog-shaped wallet Hinata had given him and finally relaxed on his bed.

Then he remembered Feng Xu's mention of another way to make money.

He called out in his mind, "Feng Xu, what was that method you mentioned?"

Feng Xu recalled immediately. In this world, money was still essential—even for someone with wind-related deficiencies.

After a moment's thought, he replied:

"Give me paper, a pen, and control of my body. I want to write novels to make money."

As a time traveler, plagiarism was the easiest route. Feng Xu had been a copywriter before transmigrating—he had even died while writing a movie review.

"Write novels to make money?"

Naruto blinked in disbelief. He hadn't read much; how could Feng Xu write a novel?

"Stop talking. You'll see once we try."

Feng Xu had researched Jiraiya's success, knowing popular novels sold well. He planned to ride the wave of a genre similar to Make-Out Paradise.

Seeing his confidence, Naruto fetched paper and pen, ready to mock him loudly.

Once in control, Feng Xu recalled the plot and wrote the title:

"Young Ah Bin (crossed out) Young Ah Ming"

The Landlady

"Ah Ming's grades at the Ninja Academy weren't ideal…"

The scratch of pencil on paper filled the room.

After two hours, Feng Xu had drafted ten chapters, totaling 20,000 words.

He paused, intending to finish the draft after approval.

Naruto, frustrated at the cliffhanger, protested:

"Why stop? Keep writing! I want to see my cousin—Ah Ming!"

Even Naruto, a master of Sexy Jutsu, was captivated. Feng Xu grinned at his success.

"Draft approval first. Then we continue."

He returned control to Feng Xu, planning to have Naruto deliver the package to Teuchi's daughter, Ayame, the next day.

After all, only a few were kind to Naruto—and getting through the gate alone would be impossible.
