Upon our return to the planet with Maya safely delivered, Acuti and I made our way back to the fortress. As we entered, we were met by a striking young woman in her adolescent years, or perhaps at the height of her prime. Her unruly hair was adorned with fluffy pom-poms tied together with a shimmering golden ribbon. She donned a cheongsam dress that elegantly fell just above her thighs.
What set her apart were not just her fangs, but the subtle halo hovering above her head. Though smaller in size compared to Maya's or Acuti's halos, its mere presence meant she could blow up a planet. With a blinding flash of white light, the girl surged towards us. In response, I summoned my pocket dimension, distorted world. Determined to end the fight, as fast as possible I unleashed my full extent of my powers within this realm. As I exerted myself, my face cracked like glass and the cavity in my chest expanded.
Extending my left arm towards the cosmos, planet-sized stars hurtled towards the girl with unstoppable force.
Despite how big they were, she sliced through at the speed of light. In this dimension we were no longer on solid ground but floating in space where she could unleash her abilities without worrying about destroying the planet, again at the speed of light. With a decisive blow, she propelled us back into reality, leaving me incapacitated and defeated on the ground… everything was red, and I couldn't breathe, she must have knocked the wind out of me.
"Terra!"
Acuti shouted before rapidly firing with her rifle in the girl's direction. She dogged the bullets moving around mock (80).
Acuti swiftly evaded a head-high kick, all the while unleashing a barrage of explosive shells. In a moment of sheer determination, she fired a radiant green bullet skyward, it was like a flare. As she did that I faded back into my own dimension with the last bits of my strength.
As Acuti soared into the sky she shot off a bullet, but it was deflected by the mysterious girl. Destroying a mountain nearby. Seemingly undeterred, Acuti persisted in launching heavy rounds towards her opponent until the girl swiftly maneuvered behind her, flinging Acuti several miles away from the fortress.
Now distanced from the stronghold, the girl unleashed an onslaught of relentless punches upon Acuti, shattering her armor with each bone-crushing blow. Despite sporting a halo significantly smaller than those of Maya or Acuti, the girl wielded a level of power control that far surpassed both warriors, making her a strong foe. With a blinding flash of light, Acuti was propelled through the air, bearing a fatal puncture wound on her right side, an injury that would have spelled death for any ordinary being. Yet as she plummeted earthward, Angel swooped in just in time to catch her mid-fall.
"Sorry it took us so long," Angel smiled
"Us?" Acuti responded She looked forward to seeing Maya with a golden scroll in her robotic hand.
"Wait, you can't fight yet!" Acuti shouted Despite Acuti protests Maya simply responded, "Don't worry, I got this."
Angel then took Acuti into the sky to return back to the ship.
"Be right back Maya, survive until then!" Angel shouted
"Yeah… will do"
Maya
"Alright let's do this," Opening the ancient scroll, a radiant golden glow emanated, casting a cosmic aura around me. As the light dimmed, five figures materialized, all resembling me, yet each bearing unique features
They were my past lives, Starborns typically always reincarnate so not many in heaven and not many in hell.
Among them, a striking figure caught my attention; she sported a positive symbol in her left eye and a negative one in her right, her fangs glistening under the purple and blue light. Her skin shimmered like stardust and had just one planet in her hair. This was no ordinary incarnation of me; she was Eve, the original sinner who created the darkness. Despite the weight of her presence, there was no time to think, as that monster stood before.
The scroll I held was made for one purpose, to replicate Sun-Wu-Kong's unique clone ability. As I braced myself for the impending conflict, the girl stood before me, her voice echoing with determination.
"Ready for round two?"
"Yeah, sure, but before we fight, what's your name?"
"Charan, what's yours"
"Maya Dreamer"
"Well then, Dreamer, let's make this the ultimate battle that will be talked about in history." Charan said, conjuring a spear made of golden light,
"Let's go."
below us, the once lush forests and creatures withered into stardust, dying. From the desolate earth emerged five black humanoids, their forms pulsating with dark power. Above, the sky shimmered with the stardust of the fallen life forms.
I rushed toward Charan creating a sonic *BOOM!* while my clones went to deal with the humanoid creatures.
Charan was not your typical halo-ed warrior, her control over her power was insane like she's been around for hundreds of years, or even longer.
Our weapons clashed creating a shock wave around the planet *Booosh!!…" I have to be careful of her flash bang ability. That flash bang ability leaves me completely blinded for about thirty seconds and paralyzed. To avoid that I have to keep my distance, so I have no choice. I kicked Charan away from me causing her to cough up blood. As she recovered, ballistic missiles began to chase after her, "What the hell-…" *BOOM!"
A huge explosion lit up the sky dispersing any clouds that were formed, Charan fell out of the sky and started to run away, more of these ballistic weapons chased her down, turrets, missiles, rail guns, whatever you could think of. This was my last resort, star caster, or also known as weapons caster, much like my father's it allows me to create weapons out of nothing, but it comes at a cost, if I use this power too much, I will get cursed and go star blind.
The weapons continued to track her until an explosion hit her, sending her crashing to the ground below. Seizing the moment without hesitation, I summoned about a hundred spears from above, raining them down on Charan in a devastating onslaught. But to my surprise she began to regenerate her limbs and skin. I've never seen a regenerating ability like that. I stood before Charan; her clothes were now destroyed leaving her body exposed; I summoned ballistic turrets and aimed them directly at her body. "You give up?" I asked Excalibur gleamed in the air; its sharp edge aimed directly at her face. Suddenly, a blinding flash of white light engulfed me, followed by a searing pain as a spear pierced through my chest. Surprisingly, the agony barely registered as Eve swiftly removed the weapon, seamlessly merging into my body healing the injury.
"You done yet?!" I asked, pissed at her attempt to kill me.
"Yeah, I guess I am," she responded, closing eyes just as Angel came back.
Charan
I am Charan, Hades's first attempt to recreate God. Using the DNA of Athena, the god of wisdom and Nezha, the deity of protection, I was raised to become God. Growing up was hard, ever heard of the saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". I hate that saying so much.
I was put through some of the worst environments and the harshest of hells even the warriors of black would struggle to survive in, down in literal hell. Hell is where anomalies are sent that the warriors of black were too weak to kill.
About twelve years ago: me and Hades found ourselves in front of a portal "Daddy, don't send me there. It's too scary" I argued. Hades kneeled down to my level and responded
"Don't worry little one, what does not kill you only makes you stronger"
He said before dropping me into hell for three years. I've died seven hundred times. Coming back, my body became invincible and yet after all of that, this woman before me tore me apart with ease. Who do you think you are, Maya…?
Maya
"I'm back… looks like you already handled it," Angel returned
"Yep, but I have an idea that can be a huge help to us," I said
The ability I used in this battle was called star caster but I was only a level one user so I could only use it as a last resort because it would cause me to go star blind if used too often.
But I just need to use it one last time. With this ability I can create any weapon I can think of so if you remember the cloud queen tried to use something called the brander, making anyone branded with it under control like a slave so I created it, but first marking myself then using it on Charan, her body began to secrete and dark energy and her energy completely returned.
"Defeating was not enough for you, so you had to make me your slave?!" Charan shouted, getting off the ground.
"Yep, you did take my arm and put a hole in my twin"
"Fair enough. Well, what's the plan now, my lady?"
"We need to head to ground zero to stop the transformation"
"Yep, got it"
"Angel, you ready for this"
"Yeah, let's go," Angel responded
Charan surprised me with her unexpected cooperation, but I was left with no time to question her. Together, we ventured back into the under city to confront Lucifer. The moment we arrived; we were met with a horde of eerie humanoid creatures numbering in the millions. We engaged in an intense battle that lasted for hours until we reached the heart of darkness, a menacing black hole. Instead of attempting to obliterate it like me and Acuti did earlier, we made a daring choice to plunge into its depths. Inside, we stumbled upon a shocking sight: Faith, the goddess of creation and a star born like me, was imprisoned and weakened by another striking woman who bore Lucifer's soul in a different form. The room shimmered with starlight, as if gazing into a boundless night sky. Lucifer's innate allure captivated all who beheld him, his mere presence exuding irresistible charm. With callous disregard, he casted Faith to the ground, causing the radiant stars woven into her hair to flicker and fade one by one.
"Ohh~ you finally made it Maya, or should I say god of destruction," he said upon noticing me
"Lucifer, you need to stop this," I argued
as I said those words, I was pulled into a pocket dimension, but it was not his. A girl spoke behind me.
"I'm a true Angel. Use this prayer while charging your energy: Please grant me the wish of the world and to become the true upholders of the divine principles of heaven and men let me become the bridge of flesh and energy let there be light.
I don't have time to explain but you gotta use it or else you will lose"
Just as fast I was put in the dimension, I was put right back to where I was. Lucifer responded to what I said earlier.
"Sorry, no can do, but I can't have y'all in the way. Let's fight on my own plain of existence"
The three of us were pulled into his dimension instantly where we had no choice but to fight to the death.
"Let's start with this,"
He said as we floated in a space-like dimension. He put his hand out toward us as trillions of those black humanoid things surrounded us, he then continued as he disappeared behind the mass. "Beat all of them first."
but with my power not limited anymore, I raised my sword into the air, letting out a blue flash and killing all the creatures instantly.
"Impressive, I fight you myself," he reacted clapping his hand after Lucifer said that Charan and Angel disappeared
"What did you do to them?" I asked, pointing my sword at Lucifer as he dashed toward me.
"I sent them back home"
I shot out a golden light beam, causing me to be propelled back words, Lucifer dogged it shooting toward me, as he got closer to me I kicked his head so hard you could see his skull before it quickly regenerated back, he then made a ball of energy and pushed it into my chest, sending me flying backward, as I try to regain my balance, a wall of light stood before me going as far as the eye can see it was stars coming towards me, but luckily for me, I don't have to hold back anymore since I'm not on a planet.
I lifted my hand forward and shot out a purple blast creating a black hole and then turning into a super nova *Shooomp… BOOOOM!" We continued to clash causing the dimension to shake, but as I spent more energy, Lucifer gained more as his halo grew bigger than mine.
With his newfound power, he unleashed an onslaught of accelerated blows that catapulted me to the edge of the universe, leaving me scorched and armor shattered. My body began to glow as my existence began to be erased due to the effect of Lucifer's power.
I began to give up, but then… One picture appeared in my mind, Hamartia. Why am I thinking of her… Is it because I'm dying? I kinda want to see her again… It was then I heard a familiar voice in my head, "How can I get closer to you Maya?" It was the voice of Hamartia when she confessed to me. I envisioned her in my head as I clutched onto my blade. "I know what I want now," I said to myself as I reached my sword into the air and recalled the prayer from the angel. Lucifer smiled as he shot toward me like an evil red comet.
"Please grant me the wish of the world, and to become the true upholders of the divine principles of heaven and men let me become the bridge of flesh and energy, let there be light!" I chanted with my head bowed,
As the words escaped my lips, the stars in my hair dimmed, turning into radiant positive and negative symbols replacing the stars. A sudden transformation overtook me; sharp fangs protruded from my mouth; one eye's pupil gleamed with a positive symbol while the other bore a negative mark. My forearm detached, growing bigger than my body while still being attached by a wire of blue energy, my tail vanished into thin air.
Fear etched across Lucifer's face lunged towards me in a desperate attempt to hurl me into the abyss beyond the universe.
"This is God's doing again!"
A roar tore from his lips as he lunged at me, his fist slicing through the air. But before it could connect, an additional pair of arms materialized from thin air, parrying his attack. One hand disengaged itself from the newly formed limb and began to weave a net of pulsating energy in mid-air, like a spider ensnaring its prey, this web captured Lucifer in its mesmerizing strands. Simultaneously, two more hands reached out and seized his halo. With a swift motion, they shattered it into countless shards of light. As if responding to the loss of his halo, Lucifer's body started to radiate a blinding white light, and fractures appeared on his face as if he was made of fragile glass on the verge of shattering.
"God damn it no!"
He raged with tears in his eyes, trying to break free from the web. Lucifer was now at my mercy. I flouted up to him with a blank face and stabbed him through the chest. Making me think back to when I was just a child.
I fought in the great war, I wiped out countless armies on my own, but this victory felt different, it did not feel right.
Instead of us getting kicked out of the dimension it collapsed around us creating a white room with solid ground I fell to the ground with my body returned to normal, with my wounds healed and my arm back. Lucifer as well was on the grown in a white dress at the far side of the room as a young boy spoke to him.
"I'm disappointed in you, my child. This is not how I created you." with a terrified voice, Lucifer answered,
"I'm sorry I won't do it again. Please don't send me back their God"
"You plead for your life? pathetic, I will grant you a much greater punishment"
"Don't you think you're being a little hard on your kid? I know he killed a lot of people, but you can just bring them back," a girl in a gray tracksuit said, leaning on a nearby wall. I recognized the voice, it was the angel that gave me that prayer,
God responded "And I should be giving you a punishment as well for giving that girl a prayer"
"What's the big deal? It's not like she has done anything bad with it."
"Even so, she is a star born. She could have put a hole in the universe."
"Your fault for making them so strong"
"No, what, I'm not going to engage in this conversation. Maya, come here"
When he said my name, my body got filled up with an intense fear. No not fear, dread.
"I know you're there to hurry up" He continued. I got up and walked over toward him
"What do you want me to do with him?"
He said, crossing his arms. His body was completely white with a gold symbol on his back. It was the eye of God.
"I'm not sure he's your kid"
"True, but I'm too pissed off at him. No what I will make him your servant, if that's alright with you and for compensation for this one hell of a mess"
The angel leaning on the wall glared at me and smiled
"Yeah, I will take him, I guess"
"Thanks, now than anything you want to ask me about"
"What happens if I don't succeed in the god ritual?"
"You will cease to exist"
God responds while putting a servant mark on Lucifer's forehead and altering his form into a teenage Egyptian girl with dark skin and gold eyes with his hair turned silver-like steel.
"I see" I responded
"Anything else you want to know about," God said, looking at me missing a face
"Are you like actual God or are you some sort of part of the cube (Dierdre)."
"No, I'm the real deal, by the way. Don't save them, think about yourself"
