Two prides clash, two hearts ignite — and in the middle of it all, there is Ratna, who never meant to be the reason...
Since the incident in the canteen a few days ago, every morning before leaving for school, Ratna deliberately spends time in front of the mirror. She neatens her eyebrows with mascara, thickens her eyelashes slightly, attaches scotch tape to her eyelids, and then dabs a little color on her lips. Finally, she puts on her glasses—the mandatory shield to keep her father from getting angry.
Her heart is glowing.
Today there are actually no extra lessons, but Ratna has decided she will frequently sit in the corner of the canteen.
Who knows, maybe Rey will appear again, greeting her like the other day.
And perhaps, once in a while, she will dare to take off her glasses.
—
That afternoon, all the students had gone home. The canteen looked deserted.
Tim walks alone towards a dining table, carrying food in his hand. His gaze accidentally falls upon Ratna's figure in the corner of the canteen—alone, as usual.
But this time Ratna is not wearing her glasses.
Her face looks different: her skin is fair and rosy, her eyebrows are slightly thicker, and her lips are a faint pink color.
Tim clucks softly.
"Turns out Ratna is pretty in real life... no wonder Rey is interested."
Not long after, Harold appears with his gang, who are noisy and boisterous as usual. They order food while joking, then sit not far from Tim.
Tim eats slowly while occasionally glancing towards them. He sees Harold laughing with his friends.
"Look at that, Ratna!" exclaims Raymond, pointing with his chin.
Harold, Edi, and Tino simultaneously turn their heads.
"Well, well, well... why is she taking off her glasses?" Harold mutters with a cynical smile.
However, upon seeing Ratna, Harold's eyes widen slightly. He never realized that, behind those thick glasses, Ratna was actually pretty
No wonder Rey likes her... means he's not that stupid," Tino laughs loudly.
"What are you talking about?!" Harold suddenly snaps, his face hardening.
He doesn't like hearing Rey's name spoken in a defensive tone.
For Harold, Rey is a shadow he always wants to defeat.
"Rey is stupid, and Ratna is ugly. Rey has a terrible taste!" he says curtly, then stands up and walks towards Ratna.
"Why are you taking off your glasses?" Harold asks in a teasing tone, laughing softly.
Ratna turns, surprised to see Harold standing in front of her.
"What is it? None of your business," Ratna replies uncomfortably, then turns her face away.
"Why are you taking off your glasses?" Harold repeats, his eyebrows thick and staring intently.
For a moment, that voice is like the echo of her father's voice at home—the same voice that always forbids her from removing her glasses.
By reflex, Ratna reaches for her glasses and quickly puts them back on.
Harold laughs softly seeing Ratna's pouting face. Something strange appears in his chest—a warm feeling similar to affection, although wrapped up in mischief. An odd urge rises in his heart: to protect Ratna, even to kiss her forehead. But instead of obeying that feeling, his mischievous side takes over.
Quickly, Harold snatches Ratna's glasses.
"No need to wear them. You're pretty like this," he says with a sweet smile.
Ratna blushes. She doesn't know whether Harold is being sincere or just playing with her. She grabs her glasses back and immediately puts them on.
"Whether I wear glasses or not is none of your business, Harold," Ratna answers sharply.
Harold is momentarily stunned. Ratna's gaze penetrates deeply, making his chest ache. He himself doesn't understand why—he has never felt this feeling, especially towards the girl he has always considered strange.
Ratna quickly gathers her belongings and leaves him.
Harold's ego is stung. He is truly annoyed.
This is the first time he has spoken honestly, but he is ignored instead.
When he returns to his table, Tino laughs at him.
"Ha ha ha! What were you talking to Ratna about?"
"Damn it, Ratna thinks she's so pretty," Harold snaps, trying to cover his embarrassment.
"She is pretty," Edi whispers softly, making Harold even more irritable.
"Are you crushing on Ratna, huh?" Raymond teases.
They all laugh, but Harold punches the table.
"I don't like Ratna! I just hate Rey. Anything Rey likes—I will destroy it!"
At that moment, his eyes meet the gaze of Tim, who is accidentally watching.
"What are you looking at?!" Harold barks, stepping closer.
Before Tim can react, Harold has already grabbed his collar and landed several punches.
Tim falls down, terrified.
The security guard and other students rushed over, but it was already too late.

💥 Collision of Two Worlds
The next morning, the school atmosphere is buzzing with gossip.
They say Tim—one of Rey's best friends—went home with a busted lip and a dirty uniform.
It is rumored that he was beaten up by Harold's gang, just because of a glance.
Rey doesn't say much.
But his eyes are sharp—like a knife.
Aryo knows that when Rey is silent like that, it means a storm is being prepared.
When the break bell rings, Harold's classroom suddenly falls silent.
Heavy footsteps are heard from outside.
Rey, Aryo, and Tim walk in without permission.
Ratna, who is about to leave the class, briefly crosses paths with Rey.
Rey doesn't see her, but Ratna manages to catch a soft soap scent from his body. Her heart pounds. Her cheeks instantly heat up.
"Harold."
Rey's voice is heavy, firm, and cold.
All heads turn.
Some female students gasp softly—they have never seen Rey this angry.
Harold slowly stands up, his face remaining calm, even smiling slightly.
"What's up? If you want to talk, later. It's class time now."
"Talk?" Rey steps forward, his tone pressing. "You think punching someone is talking?"
The atmosphere is tense.
Aryo prepares behind Rey, Tim clenches his hands with a face enduring pain.
"Wow, coming for revenge, huh?" Raymond sneers.
Instantly, Rey pulls Raymond's collar and one solid punch lands.
A bench topples over. The room is shattered by screams.
Aryo holds back Edi, Tim returns Tino's punch.
Harold steps forward into the middle, holding back Rey.
"Enough, Rey!"
But Rey pushes his hand away. Harold's shoulder is shoved.Harold shoves back—no longer out of anger, but out of pride.
Helen screams hysterically from the corner of the class.
"Harold, Rey, stop it! Aryo, Tino, stop!"
Ratna is rooted to the spot.
Her heart beats fast watching the fight. A mix of fear and dread.
Harold's and Rey's gazes meet.
Two different worlds, but equally stubborn.
And everyone knows,
this is not just an ordinary fight—this is a collision of two worlds.
Not long after, the teacher and the security guard arrive. They are all dragged to the teachers' room.
Mrs. Susi looks at them one by one with a disappointed gaze.
"Students like you should be role models. But all I see is ego and pride."
"I was only defending myself, Ma'am," Harold says calmly.
Rey is silent, his gaze straight ahead.
Mrs. Susi lets out a long sigh.
"Both of you must take responsibility. No matter who started it."
"And one more thing—don't bring personal matters to school."
The words hang in the air for a long time.
No one answers. But everyone knows—there is something bigger than just pride.
As soon as they leave the teachers' room, Harold stops in front of Rey.
Their gazes meet.
Sharp. Firm. Full of pride.
Harold walks away, followed by his friends who are still both impressed and respectful.
Rey stares at his retreat back.
For some reason, there is a strange feeling in his chest.
A feeling that, without him realizing it, will lead him in the same direction:
Ratna.
