On a bright shinny morning. The sun light through the curtains of a messy room,trying to crover up the untidyness around the single bed with a girl in a Pink fluffy pyjama.
Her leg was at the edge of the bed and the other was curl in an broken triangle shape. Her hands above her head like she is cheering for the soccer world cup team.
Posters of her favorite idols were attached to the wall. Yes she was a big fan of
Kpop music, posters of anime, swords of her favorite anime characters.
An alarm BLARES...
Nova (14 years old) goans, her head poke out of under the pillow, her short black hair was wild, unmatched socks, dressed in her pink fluffy pyjamas sweater and shorts. Her eyes were burry from sleepyness.
She rolls off the bed and leaned on her feet that landed on the cold floor. She stood up and took two steps in front while she had her hands was on her eyes rubbing the sleepyness out which is totally not working. Then suddenly she tripped and fell on the hard floor and then BOOM her almost flat chest landed on on the floor, almost like a dangerous kiss that makes no sense.
She groans in pain.
"Okay.. I'll remember to clean my room " she said and rised from the floor. She rub her chest that hit the floor.
She looked at the clock on the wall ticking. It was 6:30, she sighs and rolls her eyes. She went to the bathroom, she took a shower and immediately got dressed into a white hoddie and blue jeans, with her white snickers.
Nova got out of her room, she walked to her mirror that was attached to the wall.
She grumble "Ugh.... School... My mortal enemy. One day I will burn you and put the blame on vise principle Jones freaking Miller. I hate that guy for making me go to extra learning classes on a freaking weekend. Like who even gave permission for that guy to be alive."
She rubbed her nose with one finger, took her school bag and went to the door, but then she stopped her tracks and went back to the mirror to have a last look.
"Why do I feel so funny today? Nothing is wrong with my outfit right? I think am having clothdiarrhea.." she said with an worried tone. Her face turns to her big pink teddy bear who sat on the chair in front of her desk.
"Well don't just sit there! Give me some assurance." she yelled at the stiff stuff bear like it did a huge crime by just sitting there and doing nothing.
"I look good right?" Her voice turns soft with uncertainty. "I don't look like a nerd. Am as cool as every dumb kid in my class."
She laughed. One would swear this girl is crazy talking to a teddy bear that just stared at nothing and nothing.
"Okay bump chuckle heads in O'l high Jambo high school. The bad girl is on her way. Bad bitch alert" she said confidently and walked out of her room.
She ran down the stairs straight to the kitchen where she was met a few annoying of Army, Jake, Amber and a loud groan was heard from Mike and Sam. Just like every other morning they had to go through the same ritual. Wait for Nova before going to school, but apparently this girl gets herself ready like she was invited to a glamour event.
"Damn freaking Nova... Why do we also have to go through this shit gal... I swear you be getting yourself ready like a Ma waiting to get noticed by her man." said Sam, the ever swagger boy.
"And of course leave it to the Mighty Mrs Nova Clen to pull up that stunt." said Amber
The older kid Army glared at the other two. Then looked at Nova who was scratching the back of her head.
"Your late. Again."
Nova suddenly laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, my shower gel was finished, took me a while to find a new one, and turns out my sock wasn't in my closet but between the pile of washing that still needs to be folded." She said with a smile on her face, like it was the normal thing in the world.
"At least you have a pile of already washed clothes, dude I have like a laundry basket that never touched the water in 2 months." Said Jake no shame just like Nova bragging about clothes that was never folded.
Nova looked at him with a surprise expression. 'My washing was done by the sisters. Why the hell is he doing that his clothes are not bing wash.' Nova though💭.
Then Miles the smart one just realised something. "Wait if your clothes weren't washed for two months, where the hell did that clothes come from that you are wearing right now?"
Everyone looked at Jake who just scratch his head.
"Well let's just say..."
Then Army stopped his sentence. "Eww we don't want to know."
"Jeez dude.... How the heck can you smile so good when you wearing dirty clothes. Broo you got to stop shit. " Said Sam shaking his head with disappointment.
The rest of the kids just made weird faces, the image of Jake getting ready to school was stuck in their mind.
"My innocence is now ruin." said Amber already getting out the door first.
Amber pulled frozen, shock Nova from her spot and dragged her by pulled her by the wrist and lead her to the car waiting for them outside. After settling in the car the car drove off and no one wanted to be next to Jake so the guy was force to sit at the back stuff with a pillow to create respectful distance.
Nova lived in an Orphanage. With six other kids. 2 girls and 3 boys including Nova.
Am elderly women named Sophie, and Melissa takes care of the 7 kids who never had parents or either abandoned by them and Nova she was abandoned by her parents since she was still an infant. For 14 years she lived under the wings of Mrs Sophie and Melissa.
They finally reached school, all 6 kids got out and run towards their perspective classes since they don't study together. Nova reached her class. Everyone was doing their own thing, either taking selfies or videos, playing videos, or just talking about cute boys. Her confidence immediately disappeared. She sighs and went to her desk which was at the back where no one can distrup her. The whole class sees her as someone who is shy, awkward and doesn't talk much. Nova is actually the opposite of what they describe her to be. Nova never talks or interact with the rest of the class because they are boring to her, or maybe she is just out of their league.
The history teacher came in with a big smile on her face.
"Good morning everyone" she said happily.
"Good morning teacher" The whole sang including Nova.
"Guess what?" She paused dramatical, her eyes scanning through the class to see if she has caught everyone's attention and she did.
"So today I got permission to take you all out today and we are going to visit the museum. How cool is that? It will help you to understand history better since you all are so dumb to fail the easier task here." the last part of her sentence had deeper meaning. But she wasn't wrong though.
The whole class jumped and shouted "yess" because they will have no classes today.
ON THE SCHOOL BUS
Nova took the window seat. She had her earphones in her ears while staring out the window.
"So boring" she mumbled.
She turned around and saw 2 kids were playing video games, some chat on their phone, some still on the topic about cute boys, some are even doing their make up touches for just incase moments they might in counter a cute guy or handsome guy.
While only one person was reading a book. Respect. Nova nod her head in approval.
"He doesn't get tired of reading. Now that's balls. I would never." she chuckled to herself as she admits proudly.
Suddenly a bush girls scream when they saw a hot picture of a hot boy.
Nova rolled her eyes.
"You'll act so cool but your just a bush of 5 years olds. So pathetic, am so much better." She scoff
"Yeah much better. I deserve queen treatment."
She laugh a little loudly.
"I deserve ice-cream. I deserve pizza. I deserve a new phone. I deserve all types of candy."
Her voice rises.
"I deserve all those Money!. Because I..... I... BECAUSE I AM...!"
"Nova... Are you okay?" a student asked while staring at Nova in shock.
Nova freeze. Her hands in mid-air, one foot bend on the seat, the other stood dramatical straight like she was a knight spiking a pose to fight for freedom.
"Y-yeah... Yeah..." she chuckled nervously.
"Your okay Nova. Now just sit down nice and slowly, it's not embarrassing at all girl. Bad bitch alert." she said and quickly sat down trying her best to act like Nothing just happened.
The boy just stared at her in shock.
'I think I need a different class.' He thought.
