Viktor loved the feeling of control. It was something that was required in life. Living with his sister and brothers that were stronger than him removed control from him. They treated him like the shame of the family, and he hated them more than anything.

When the Civil War broke out, they were one of the many first to inscribe themselves to the Old Satan Faction. Viktor wanted to do the same, show them that they were wrong about him, that he was powerful.

However, the first battle he had ever participated proved differently, Sirzechs Gremory, a supposed nobody came and annihilated most of the military unit that he was in. The Commander was simply one of the stronger High-Class Devils and in one attack, Sirzechs removed their existence.

Viktor ran, with all his life ran away from the battlefield, never looking back. He wanted the warmth of his home and the safety it provided.

It took a few days and he returned home; his parents weren't happy with him at all. When they found out that he had ran away from the war, they called him a useless piece of trash, but they were wrong, he could be useful in other ways.

That's how his journey as a Demon who gathers resources from the slave villages appeared. The feeling of control others' lives came back and the comfort he previously had returned to him after so long.

Everything was meant to be fine, Viktor could continue doing his job till the Old Satan Faction won the war and then he would be pronounced as both a War Veteran and a Hero for serving in the war.

Then why, why was a black-haired teen with Evil so strong that even his pure Beelzebub blood wanted to submit to it. Why would he appear in a town full of nobody's. The teen's eyes locked in with his and Viktor felt his heart pound hard. The pressure from simply interlocking eyes, it reminded him of when Sirzech displayed his might.

He wanted to run away, go back home and hide away in the comfort that it provided. Viktor opened his mouth to weasel his way out and yet he was never given a chance. Mud flooded wanting to eat him whole and it did just that, it swallowed him and his servants up.

In the matter of seconds, it had decayed his body and eaten it up but for him it felt like it lasted like an eternity. Curses spread on his body causing imaginable pain to him and finally when his death was near, Viktor felt like it was a miracle.

He had accomplished nothing in his life. _______________________________________________________

Shirou gazed on the amazed onlookers, everyone had a face full of loyalty for him, and it was incredibly difficult to feel comfortable with this. It was like everyone had just won the jackpot.

The child that was currently at his arms had a priceless look, like she was currently seeing the best person ever born. He pulled her back softly and gave her a soft smile which caused her to go back to Amelia in embarrassment.

Alexander walked up to Shirou, his heart racing at the implications. Shirou felt like a Demon like from those Satan Clans however his aura felt eviler and more tainted like it was closer to the Root of Evil.

He didn't want to trust this man, he had seen the treatment that the Demons had given his people, but he wasn't a fool. He knew that another Beelzebub member would come to this village for answers because of the death of Viktor and that would be the demise of the village.

It was time for a gamble, one that was in the hands of the Demon in front of him. A gamble that a Demon can be kind to those who are weak. A gamble for survival.

"Thank you for saving us." Alexander prostrated himself on the floor. This was to show gratitude, and it was a hidden test, a way to see if this Demon was different from others.

Joyfully he felt himself being pulled up from the ground by the Demon and saw an uncomfortable look in his eyes which were practically asking, "Why prostrate yourself for me?" This was the best sign that Alexander could have asked for.

"Stand up, I didn't save you guys for praise, I did it because it was naturally the right to do." Shirou's deep voice commented to the leader before his gaze turned to the people around him and eventually the village.

It was in tethers; broken down homes and roads were all he could see. This was exactly what described the opposite of prosperous and gloriousness that rich villages displayed. This couldn't do, if he were to take care of these people, the first thing would be to fix up the town.

Time passed slowly as introductions were given out. It was important for everyone to know each other's name Afterall.

"This town is...It is on its last limbs, we cannot have that now, can we?" Shirou stated, his dull bronze eyes looking deep into Alexander who nodded at first then had a pensive expression.

"I know, but the Beelzebub Clan will come back for answers...It would be better if we ran away and made a settlement elsewhere."

Shirou looked at the hidden fear that Alexander had. "Then let them come, I will be your shield and protect you." His dull bronze eyes turned resolute. He had no idea if the Beelzebub Clan was exactly like the Demons described but if the arrogant man who he just killed was part of the Beelzebub Clan, he knew that he could defend the town if even stronger powerhouses appeared.

The townspeople were all deeply moved by this declaration, a Demon that was no different than a Saint from the Bible. Even Alexander who was suspicious couldn't help but lower his guard ever so slightly due to this declaration.

A lot of materials especially wood was needed to rebuild the town. Thankfully there was a forest nearby in the East. Shirou asked the townsmen to follow him so they could chop down trees so they could start with the repairs.

"How are we going to chop the trees down with no tools at our disposal? We only got pickaxe that the Beelzebub Clan provided us." Birk, a townsman questioned.

Rather than answer Shirou merely displayed another facet of his abilities. The hammer of a gun structed, and his circuits were turned on taking in the influx of pure Mana. A slight grimace expression appeared as he realized that his circuits couldn't handle this influx of pure Mana yet resulting in shutting them down.

However, he had absorbed enough Mana to produce exactly what he needed it for.

"Trace On"

With a slight whisper, sharp axes appeared in the floor, and the townspeople were surprised at the magic that was displayed. Shirou grabbed one and gestured the others to do the same.

They moved slowly towards the East inside the forest. Alexander had given Shirou the run down about why they never entered the forest, it was full of beasts that were stronger than a dozen men.

Shirou understood what he meant and nodded, telling everyone that if a beast appeared then he would protect them.

They reached the forest in no time and began chopping down trees, a lot of the townspeople tried denying Shirou doing the same labor work but he ignored them. If he could help them repair their town faster by helping, it would make them happy which would satisfy his empty heart a little.

The process was slow but effective, once a tree was chopped down, a group of men would haul it away back to the town. There were around 40 men in total working, so it wasn't too bad at all.

Shirou had thought the process would go smoothly that was until the dreaded beasts came to play with them, or in others came to eat them.

It was a gigantic bear that was at least 10 feet tall in height. Claws that were thick with a promise that it can shred even the hardest and thickest of skin. He could see how these beasts could be a problem.

The bear immediately tried to shred Shirou apart with its claws, but the latter skillfully evaded the attack. The speed of the bear was impressive, even after noticing that Shirou had dodged the attack, it didn't relent but rather became more aggressive.

The townspeople wanted to help but Shirou stopped them. The bear may be the biggest threat for the people here but for him nonetheless, this was child play. Reinforcing his body with the leftover Mana that he had acquired, he jumped into the air and slammed his fist into the bears head directly crushing it.

An instant K.O

Again, the men in the area were full of awe of what Shirou had just done. "Guess we're having meat for dinner guys." A funny worker exclaimed with passion, the desire to taste meat again high in his mind.

Shirou glanced at his direction and gave a soft smile, before getting back to work. The huge bear was hauled away by most of the group due to its insane size.

A lot of work was needed but he didn't mind any of it.

He wondered what Rin was doing right now...

Back in Fuyuki:

"SHIROUUU, YOU IDIOT!!!" Rin shouted as she watched Shirou get transported away. Her chest heaved up and down in anger. She had told him not to get inside that magical circle, but nooo, he just had to.

A hand was placed on her shoulder. "Rin, let's calm down. We should work on finding exactly where he is at." Rin looked back to see Saber's face full of concern, but she knew better than that, hidden deep within the concern was anger at the stupidity of what Shirou had done.

"Right, Saber"

The two women began working on finding a way to Shirou and when they found him, they wished to show their concern through their fists.
