Chapter 27 - EPISODE 27 — Rising From the Cracks of the Earth

The crack in the ground widens, glowing like molten lava.

The air shifts — colder, heavier, almost metallic.

Sade clutches Tunde's arm as blackened spirits crawl out, their bodies flickering like burned paper.

Their eyes?

Two red holes leaking smoke.

One steps forward, taller than the rest, wrapped in chains that float by themselves.

Legion Leader (echoing):

Sade… daughter of balance… we have searched across realms to find you.

Sade trembles.

Tunde steps in front of her, aura bright and pulsing.

The Legion Knows Her Name

Sade:

How do you know me? What do you want??

The Legion Leader tilts its head, bone cracking like dry wood.

Legion Leader:

We want what was promised.

Your soul belongs to us.

Sade's chest tightens.

Sade:

Promised? By who?!

The spirit leans closer, chains rattling.

Legion Leader:

By the one… who tries to hide beside you.

Sade whips her head around to Tunde —

shocked, confused, terrified.

Sade:

Tunde??

Tunde's eyes go wide.

Tunde:

Sade, NO! They're lying! They twist truths—

But the Legion cuts him off with a roar.

The Truth They Drop Is DEVASTATING

Legion Leader:

Your accident was arranged.

The car that hit you… was guided.

The path you walked… was manipulated.

Sade's heartbeat goes WILD.

Sade:

So someone REALLY tried to kill me?!

The flames flare.

A hundred voices whisper in unison.

Legion:

Yes… and the reason lies with him.

Their smoky fingers point at Tunde.

Tunde steps back, shaking his head fiercely.

Tunde:

Don't listen to them! Sade, please—

But the leader laughs.

Legion Leader:

He did not orchestrate your death…

but he knew it was coming.

Sade freezes.

Sade:

Tunde—tell me it's not true.

Tunde clenches his jaw, pain filling his eyes.

Tunde's Guilt Comes Crashing Out

Tunde (voice trembling):

Sade… yes. I sensed something was wrong that night.

I felt a force pulling you toward danger.

Sade steps back slowly.

Sade:

AND YOU DIDN'T WARN ME?!

Her voice cracks, filled with hurt.

Tunde:

Sade… I wasn't allowed to interfere. Spirit guides can't alter fate. I tried—God knows I tried—but I couldn't stop it without breaking ancient laws.

The Legion hisses.

Legion Leader:

He watched you die… knowing the threat.

Is that not betrayal?

Sade's eyes burn with tears.

Sade:

Tunde… did you watch me die?

Tunde takes a shaky breath.

Tunde:

I tried to reach you before the car came… but I was too late.

Sade feels her world collapsing.

The Legion Takes Advantage of Her Pain

Legion Leader:

See? Even your protector failed you.

Come with us. We can show you who truly wants your soul… and why.

Sade's knees weaken.

Her mind spins.

Someone arranged her death.

Tunde knew danger was coming.

The Legion wants her soul.

Her mother is lying to her.

And her own powers are awakening.

Her whole life… is unraveling.

But Then Sade Does Something UNEXPECTED

She wipes her tears.

Her voice steadies.

Sade:

You all want something from me. But nobody tells me the whole truth.

Her aura flickers with blue light.

Sade:

So let me make this clear…

She steps forward — past Tunde — facing the Legion directly.

Sade:

I am DONE being hunted.

I am DONE being controlled.

If my soul is powerful enough to shake realms…

Her aura BLASTS outward in a shocking burst.

Sade:

…then it's powerful enough to fight for itself.

The Legion HOWLS, recoiling.

Tunde stares at her —

shocked, afraid… and incredibly proud.

But then the REAL SHOCKER happens

From the smoke…

another figure rises.

Smaller.

Human-sized.

Hooded in shadows.

The Legion kneels to them.

Tunde stiffens instantly, eyes wide with terror.

Tunde (whispers):

No… it's impossible. They're dead.

Sade looks confused.

Sade:

Who is that??

The hooded figure lifts their head.

And Sade GASPS —

Because the face is one she knows.

One she trusts.

One who should NEVER be here.

The figure:

Sade… it's time you knew the truth about your birth.

Sade's mouth drops open.

Sade:

...MAMA..
