Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 THE BATTLE OF DRAGONSTONE

-POV Stannis Baratheon

Gods curse you, Robert, for putting me, your own brother, in this hell.

How am I supposed to take this cursed island with the same man who starved me for more than a year, a man whose loyalty is questionable to you?"

We are ready, my lord," said Lord Paxter Redwyne. The same man who was the mastermind behind the naval blockade of Storm's End, my castle.Next to him was his brother Daxter Redwyne.

I don't like the man nor any of the Reach lords, for they were fighting for the Loyalists not less than a month ago, and the moment they heard of the Mad King's death, they decided to bend the knee.

They could have stormed Storm's End long before the prince was killed, long before Stark came to break the siege. But they didn't.

They waited and waited, even when they heard of the prince's fall at Robert's hand, they waited.

And when Stark comes and saves the day, they decide to bend the knee and send a part of their fleet as a gesture of loyalty, they said.

And now here I am, selling with the same men's who starved me, my wife, my brother, and hundreds of loyal men for more than a year to

kill a boy of one and ten, the mad king's last living son,

the glass-eyed dragon they call him—the only dragon who's not mad or cruel.

What are we waiting for? Let's go and kill them; we outnumber them five to one.

The loud and honor-hungry voice of Lord Tygett Lannister, brother of Lord Tywin Lannister, the babe killer as the loyalists call him, pulled me out of my thoughts.

I don't like the man, for he's too impatient, and he's speaking like he has something to prove, and a man like that doesn't live for long.

Maybe the rumors of him being angry about being under his lord brother's shadow were not false after all, I thought in my mind.

We may not have to just attack them, Lord Lannister. Mayhaps if we wait till the messenger returns to tell us

if the men of Dragonstone

can be bought or surrender — for a man can have many faces: one a coward one a babe killer, one a reaper, one a traitor.

I said as I looked at him and Lord Redwyne, and they became quiet. Good, at least they know what they are.

Our not-so-good talk came to an end as the messenger ship that I sent returned. "

Let us hope that we don't have to kill any more babes," I said to the Lannister, "

for you can never let a lion be alone with an enemy's babe."

- POV Davos Seaworth. "

I couldn't get to the island,"

I said, much to the shock of a few of the lords in the command room, for it was the truth.

The royal fleet wouldn't let me get close to them even with the white banner, let alone the island. Those men are as mad as the mad king was,

they will kill at least three to four men before any of them die," I said to Lord Stannis. "

I know a few of them, my lord; they were men of King's Landing. They had their families butchered and raped by the Lannisters; they would rather have us flayed than give up the prince,"

I said to his questioning gaze, and he gave me a look of understanding before saying something that I didn't understand or wasn't meant to. "

Send the merchant vessels,"

said Lord Stannis. "

All of them. Lord Redwyne, you are to be with them and—"

"My lord, forgive the interruption, but I will be going with Lord Redwyne," said the Lannister in a not-so-apologetic manner. "

So be it,"

said Lord Stannis after a moment of silence, followed by grinding his teeth so hard I thought his teeth were going to break.

- POV Viserys Targaryen.

"A wonderful speech, my prince,"

I heard Ser Herald saying to me. "

Good, then let us hope it will get us through the night,"

I replied with a somewhat colder tone. "

They are here,"

I said as I saw the vessels, ships coming towards us. "Man!" I shouted. "

Let us show those cunts who we are!"

"Yeahhhh!"

 "Yeahhhh!"

"Let us not know fear, for we are not cowards!" I shouted as the enemy was coming towards us. "

Yeahhhh!"

"Let us show those traitors what loyalty is!"

"Yeahhhh!"

Yeahhhh!

And as they made contact with our lines,

I charged at the closest man and made a red line on his face. As half of his face fell down to the ground,

I felt something hot coming out of my throat, but I forced it down.

Not now, it's not the time for being a child. Hold yourself,

I said to myself. And as I cut off the blade hand of some man, And I stabbed him in the chest and I didn't look back as I kept killing man left and right at one point my body started to moving on its own

Gods let the plan work i prayed in my head as I cut off a man's head clean off
