Chapter 89 - Chapter 89 – The Stones of Eternity

The Infinity Stone research wing of Site-999 was the most fortified structure humanity had ever built. Nearly every hallway was wrapped in quantum-sealed plating, reinforced by my custom alloys—adamantium-vibranium composites interlaced with uru, capable of enduring cosmic-level forces. No one entered this wing without my authorization.

Not even most of the O5 Council.

And for good reason.

These weren't just powerful SCPs.These were the fundamental building blocks of the universe.

And now I had three of them in my hands.

Borrowing the Time Stone from Darius—O5-3, the Watcher—had been easier than I expected. He trusted me. Perhaps too much. The man didn't involve himself in anything unless it dealt with cosmic threats or universal timelines, so when I told him I needed the stone for controlled research under sealed conditions, he practically teleported it into my hands.

A swirling emerald gem, its light bending the air around it, humming with the rhythm of causality.

Time itself.

Combined with the violet pulse of the Space Stone within the Tesseract…

And the red, chaotic, reality-warping glow of the Reality Stone.

Three Infinity Stones.Together.Under my control.

A responsibility no sane person would ever want.

Which is exactly why I refused to let anyone else touch them.

I set all three stones onto the anti-gravitational containment platform in the center of the lab. The runes etched into the chamber—carved by uru, charged with energy fields, layered with sorcerer-level wards—activated automatically.

The chamber hummed with cosmic resonance.

And my research began.

The notes piled up faster than any assistant could process:

• Spatial substructure mapping – understanding how the Space Stone threads reality• Temporal wave simulation – trying to capture the frequency of time flow and its manipulation• Reality distortion harmonics – analyzing how the Aether rewrites the laws of physics• Energy siphon prototypes – stabilizers meant to capture ∼0.00001% of the stones' output• Containment field optimization – to prevent unauthorized resonance feedback• Power storage systems – attempts to bottle cosmic energy without imploding the universe• Infinity Synchronization – studying how the stones behave near each other

This wasn't just science.

This was cosmic engineering.

Every experiment required hour-long calculations, automated prediction models, and reinforced dimensional barriers that could hold back a small supernova.

And even then, one miscalibration could erase this entire solar system.

Which is why I trusted no one with this project.

No researchers. No assistants. No curious geniuses wandering in thinking they could "help."

Only me.

I powered up one of the stabilizer nodes—an experimental device designed to capture ambient Infinity Stone radiation without touching the stones directly.

The machine whirred, lights flickered, and the quantum lattice began to compress.

For a moment, I felt the stones respond in unison.

Space bent.Time slowed.Reality twisted.

And then the readings stabilized.

I let out a slow breath.

Success—on a microscopic scale.

A fraction of a fraction of a fraction of their power… harvested without catastrophic consequences.

It was nothing compared to the stones' full output.

But it was a start.

The Infinity Stones were not SCPs.They were not anomalies. They were pieces of existence itself.

And the more I understood them, the more I realized a terrifying truth:

If someone else—anyone else—ever tried to research them recklessly…

They could end us all.

So I continued my work, alone, in the heart of Site-999.

Staring at three glowing cores of cosmic power.

Studying them.

Learning them.

Mastering them.

Because if humanity was going to survive what was coming, we needed this knowledge.

And I was the only one willing to take the risk.
