Inside the car, the atmosphere was gloomy.
Mr. Richardson and Mrs. Richardson both wore expressions of guilt.
"Sullivan, it's not that I deliberately lied to you, after I was pregnant with you, I broke off my relationship with your grandfather and haven't contacted him since."
"Your grandfather... he's not a good person, he's done a lot of bad things. Can I tell you about this? The sins he committed shouldn't be borne by us, mother and daughter."
Mrs. Richardson's tone was somewhat pained.
"Look, today's incident was caused by your grandfather. I once advised him to wash his hands of it, but he just wouldn't listen. Your grandmother died because of him as well."
Sullivan Richardson sat there, dazed, her expression bewildered.
She still couldn't accept all of this.
She hoped for a stable life, but now everything had changed.
