Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Devil Fruit

After the performance ended, the banquet entered a free activity period. The Tontatta Tribe members scattered in small groups, some continuing to enjoy the delicious food while others began playing various interesting games. Kaidou noticed several Tontatta Tribe members playing a game similar to sumo, where two members pushed against each other within a small circle, and whoever was pushed out of the circle would lose.

"Worororo, this game looks interesting!" Kaidou became intrigued, his deep voice carrying a note of anticipation. "How about competing with me?"

The tribe members exchanged glances, and finally one brave Tontatta Tribe member stepped forward: "Tonta-ta! I'll take the challenge!"

Kaidou laughed heartily, extending one thick finger: "Good! I'll compete with you using just this finger!"

"How dare you look down on the Tontatta Tribe! Although we're small, we possess great strength," one of the tribe members shouted at Kaidou.

"That's right, don't underestimate us," the others chimed in agreement.

"Then let's give it a try," Kaidou said with great interest.

The match began. The Tontatta Tribe member pushed against Kaidou's finger with all his might, his small face turning red with effort, but Kaidou's finger remained completely motionless. The surrounding Tontatta Tribe members cheered him on.

"Go! Tonta-ta!"

"Push him over!"

"You can do it!"

Kaidou looked at this stubborn little fellow, a flash of appreciation in his eyes. He deliberately relaxed his strength slightly, allowing the tribe member to push his finger a little. Finally, amidst everyone's cheers, the Tontatta Tribe member successfully pushed Kaidou's finger out of the circle.

"Tonta-ta! I won!" The Tontatta Tribe member jumped up excitedly, his face beaming with the joy of victory.

"Worororo, well done!" Kaidou laughed heartily, his voice echoing through the night sky. "What's your name?"

"My name is Leo! Tonta-ta!" The Tontatta Tribe member proudly puffed out his chest as he answered.

"Good! Leo, I'll remember you!" Kaidou said to the brave little tribe member before him, his tone carrying genuine appreciation.

As the sky gradually darkened, the banquet atmosphere began to calm down. King Gancho slowly walked up to Kaidou, a sincere smile on his face: "Thank you for bringing us such joy, Tonta-ta. It's been a long time since we've had this much fun."

Kaidou nodded slightly, his deep voice particularly clear in the night: "We're also very happy to have met such interesting little fellows like you." He paused before continuing: "King Gancho, I sail the seas to collect Devil Fruits. I wonder if your kingdom has any? I'm willing to pay a high price to purchase them."

"Devil Fruits?" King Gancho showed a confused expression, his brow furrowing. "What are those?" "They're fruits with special spiral patterns on their surface," Kaidou patiently explained, his eyes shining with anticipation.

At that moment, Leo suddenly jumped out from the crowd, excitedly waving his small hands: "I know! I know!"

Kaidou looked down at this lively little person, a flash of pleasant surprise in his eyes: "Oh? You know where to find Devil Fruits?"

"That's right, that's the Mystical Fruit!" Leo's eyes sparkled, his voice brimming with excitement. "I found one on an island earlier and collected it. I originally wanted to research whether we could cultivate more of these fruits." Suddenly remembering something, he turned to his companion: "By the way, Carter, I recall you collected a Mystical Fruit too, right?"

The Tontatta tribesman named Carter nodded: "Yes, I found it by the seaside while catching Fighting Fish."

A glimmer of anticipation flashed in Kaidou's eyes: "Could you bring it for me to see?"

"Of course!" Leo readily agreed, grabbing Carter's hand and running outside, "We'll go get it right now!" The two small figures quickly disappeared into the night. Kaidou watched their departing backs, a trace of expectation in his eyes as the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, seeming full of anticipation for the upcoming discovery.

Soon, Leo and Carter came running back carrying a box dozens of times larger than themselves.

"Kaidou, is this what you're looking for?" After placing the box before Kaidou, both Leo and Carter jumped up to open it, then spoke to Kaidou.

Kaidou looked and confirmed it was indeed a Devil Fruit, saying: "That's right, this is it. Leo, could you sell this Devil Fruit to me? I'll give you anything you want."

Kaidou's main focus remained fixed on the Devil Fruit beside Leo - the very reason Kaidou had come here, the Paramecia-type Heal-Heal Fruit.

"I originally planned to cultivate the Mystical Fruit, but this Mystical Fruit simply can't be cultivated. Since you want it, Kaidou, you can have it," Leo told Kaidou.

"And this one too, Kaidou, you should take it as well. These fruits are useless to us," Carter added at this moment.

"Is that so? In that case, I won't stand on ceremony." As he spoke, Kaidou easily pocketed both Devil Fruits.

Kaidou hadn't expected his main purpose for coming here to be achieved so easily. Not just Kaidou, but even Enel and the others hadn't anticipated obtaining the Devil Fruits so effortlessly. The Tontatta Tribe was indeed too naive.

"King Gancho, actually I came here with another purpose," Kaidou said to Gancho.

"What is it?" King Gancho asked Kaidou.

"Actually, I previously met a prophet who told me many things about this world. Earlier, I relied on his prophecy to find the City of Gold that Roland had visited." Kaidou stated directly.

"What? Roland?!" Upon hearing Roland's name, the entire Tontatta Tribe became excited.

"Kaidou, are you talking about the great hero Roland?" Leo asked Kaidou excitedly.

"That's right," Kaidou replied.

Immediately, the entire Tontatta Tribe began recounting Roland's heroic deeds. Enel and the others only then learned that Roland had saved the Tontatta Tribe hundreds of years ago and had since been regarded as a great hero by them, even having statues made in his honor.

"King Gancho, here's the situation. That prophet not only foretold matters about Roland, he also prophesied that the Tontatta Tribe would again be enslaved by evil people in the future. That's why I came to Green Bit - to help you," Kaidou said to Gancho.

"I see, well thank you for that, Kaidou. So what should we Tontatta Tribe do?" Because they had previously discussed Roland's matter, Gancho spoke to Kaidou without any suspicion.

"Green Bit is no longer safe now. Why don't you Tontatta Tribe relocate to my territory? I will provide you protection there," Kaidou said to Gancho.

"Is that so... but our kingdom is in Green Bit," King Gancho said somewhat helplessly.

"Wororororo, don't worry, Gancho. Since we're friends, of course I won't let you down. I'll take your entire kingdom with me," Kaidou stated directly.
