Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Black Widow is so powerful

Not only that, Iron Man also discovered that the arc reactor used in the blueprints didn't use palladium as a material, but an element called zirconium.

It was clear that his future self from another parallel universe had successfully solved the problem of palladium poisoning and synthesized a new element.

Zirconium.

However, unfortunately, the blueprint only had the code Zr for zirconium, but no synthesis method. Iron Man still needed to synthesize this new element himself.

But this didn't prevent Iron Man from starting to produce Mark 7 now.

"Jarvis!"

After a quick look at the blueprints, Iron Man gave Jarvis an order, "Model according to the parameters on this set of blueprints, replace the element in the arc reactor with palladium, and fully verify its feasibility!"

Jarvis immediately carried out the order without hesitation, and one by one, projections of Mark 7 armor parts began to appear before Iron Man.

Finally, those projections perfectly combined to form a complete Mark 7 armor.

"Verification complete, sir, no problems whatsoever," Jarvis immediately reported to Iron Man.

"Good!"

Iron Man expressed great satisfaction. This meant the blueprints could be used directly, saving Iron Man a lot of time.

And knowing that the Chitauri would invade New York in a few years, time was the most valuable thing for Iron Man now.

"Jarvis, according to the blueprints, start production!"

Iron Man wasted no words and immediately gave Jarvis the order.

Jarvis was already a very mature AI, so Iron Man didn't need to worry about this aspect. Iron Man then focused all his energy on solving the problem of palladium poisoning... Triskelion Building.

Since returning from the Arctic Ocean, Nick Fury had also been busy.

Captain America's thawing and recovery, the investigation of the Winter Soldier, the security upgrade of the Joint Dark Energy Facility, the investigation of key figures identified in the quiz, and other preparations for the future... Nick Fury was swamped.

"Sir, as always, they erased all traces. We haven't found anything."

In the office, Black Widow reported to Nick Fury with a serious expression.

Nick Fury nodded, not surprised by the result. The Winter Soldier had been active for so many years, yet still remained like a ghost.

Many intelligence agencies didn't even believe such a person existed, which showed how clean his operations were.

How easy would it be to track down such a person?

He hadn't held out much hope to begin with.

"How is the Captain?" Ignoring the Winter Soldier matter for now, Nick Fury glanced at Black Widow again and asked.

"The Captain's body is gradually recovering. I believe he will wake up soon," Black Widow reported.

Knock knock knock!

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Coulson was seen standing outside, holding a folder.

"Sir, I'll head back now," Black Widow greeted Nick Fury and left the office.

Coulson placed a stack of documents in front of Nick Fury.

They were, in fact, personnel files.

"Sir, the people with a high match to the portrait are all here, but unfortunately, they are all ordinary people and not magicians."

Coulson opened the documents in front of Nick Fury while reporting to him.

Nick Fury casually picked up the documents and browsed through them: "Max Milord, a middle school teacher in the Bronx; Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon, wow, this guy is a genius..."

There were a total of seven people in the documents, each with a high match to Coulson's portrait. After a quick glance, Nick Fury tossed the documents onto the desk.

"Everyone is here?" he asked, staring at Coulson.

"Everyone is here, sir," Coulson replied with certainty, "Perhaps he's like Batman, hiding his identity."

"Or perhaps he hasn't become a magician yet, Coulson. The Endgame should be happening more than ten years from now, right?"

Nick Fury added.

"Good point, sir," Coulson nodded in agreement.

"Then you know what to do?" Nick Fury asked, as if stating the obvious.

"Of course, sir, I do," Coulson immediately replied.

What else could be done?

Of course, everyone would be closely monitored, and any clues would be reported immediately.

As a top agent, these matters certainly didn't require Nick Fury to repeatedly explain them.

After Coulson also left, Nick Fury finally had time to sit in his chair and catch his breath. He stretched, easing his body's fatigue.

After a brief rest, Nick Fury stood up again. His destination this time was Stark Tower.

After the quiz, Nick Fury had many things to discuss with Iron Man.

And the most important one was to upgrade the security level of the Joint Dark Energy Facility; this matter could not be taken lightly.

Nick Fury didn't delay and started heading towards Stark Tower... However, what Nick Fury didn't know was that a conversation was also taking place in Alexander Pierce's office on the top floor.

"Sir, Iron Man's appearance was an unexpected event, but even so, we could have succeeded."

Crossbones reported to Alexander Pierce with a serious expression.

Hydra's mole had already reported Iron Man's unexpected appearance to the Winter Soldier, and they had made thorough preparations.

The grenade launchers and the additional squad were prepared to deal with Iron Man.

"Then... what exactly caused the mission failure?" Pierce took off his glasses and looked down at Crossbones, asking.

"Romanoff Natasha," Crossbones replied, giving that answer.

"Black Widow?" Pierce almost laughed out loud. "If that's your excuse and alibi, then I have to say it's too clumsy. You and I both know Black Widow can't affect the outcome of a battle."

"Sir, I used to think so too," Crossbones said in a deep voice, but then changed his tone, "However, Black Widow punched the Winter Soldier into a comatose state, rendering him unable to fight."

"And they took advantage of this critical moment to steal our fighter jet, which led to our complete failure."

"Yes, that's right, sir. The culprit behind this mission's failure was Black Widow."

Pierce was completely stunned. After a long while, he said to Crossbones seriously, "Report everything that happened at the time to me, without missing any details."

"Remember, any detail!"
