Leonardo's POV
I pressed my palms against the freezing glass, staring at the motionless figure trapped inside the chamber.
My father. The man I'd hunted for all these years—hated, mourned, given up for dead—had been rotting in this nightmare lab the entire time.
And I was just finding him now.
Fuck.
"Dad..." The word scraped out of my throat like gravel. "I'm sorry it took me so long..."
The monitors beeped steadily. Weak, but alive. He's still breathing.
I reached for the release switch, but one of my men grabbed my wrist.
"Boss, we can't just crack it open," he warned. "If something's wrong with him, we could kill him by accident. We need intel first."
My hands balled into fists. He's right. Can't screw this up now.
I swept my gaze across the lab—control panels, scattered files everywhere. "Figure out what these bastards did to him. Move."
A few minutes later, two of my guys dragged in some trembling scientist in a blood-splattered lab coat.
