Leonardo's POV
By the time I caught up, the kid had vanished completely.
Tony and Aarav rushed up behind me, both breathing hard. "Mr. Nelson, what's wrong?"
"Aarav, Tony, did you catch sight of that child who just ran by? Was it Joseph?"
"No way, right?" Aarav barely glanced around.
"Impossible. The young master's at home sleeping."
Tony's voice carried worry. "Mr. Nelson, maybe we should get you to see someone? These hallucinations you've been having lately are getting serious!"
I whipped around and fixed Tony with an icy stare. He immediately backed down, shutting his mouth fast.
He hadn't said it out loud, but lately I'd been mistaking every kid I saw for my son!
I had Aarav call Chaim to double-check that Joseph was still asleep at the Nelson estate. Only then did I consider that maybe I'd been wrong. My son couldn't be in two places at once.
Just some kid who looked like Joseph?
