As security guards swarmed out, Darren barked, "Throw this woman out!"
The guards closed in on me, but I met Darren and Ashley's glares with ice-cold composure. "I'd rather not spoil my appetite tonight," I said evenly.
The message was clear: I wasn't looking for a bloodbath.
Ashley's voice cracked like a whip. "That's my line! You're the one killing my vibe! Walk away now, or my men will drag you out—and trust me, it won't be gentle!"
"You and Darren seem tight," I replied, my tone razor-sharp. "Maybe I should call Warner from Clement Rapid Group. Let's see who really runs things around here."
Dropping Darren's father's name hit its mark. Darren's cocky expression faltered.
Ashley wasn't backing down. "Darren, don't let her intimidate you! This witch specializes in wrapping men around her finger. Your dad's probably already fallen for her games. Hell, she might be gunning to replace your mother. Don't let trash like her slip away!"
