Veronica's POV
"Who is he? Why is he here with you?"
Harvey had traveled all the way from overseas to surprise me, but the shock was entirely his own.
His eyes went wide—I stood in the hotel room with a man who wore nothing but a towel around his waist.
The sight hit Harvey like a physical blow. The bouquet in his grip wilted as rage radiated from every inch of his body.
"I wasn't expecting you today. Let me explain who—"
I started to introduce them, but Leonardo cut me off.
"I'll handle this myself."
I could see the recognition dawn in Leonardo's expression—he must have realized this was Harvey, the other man I'd told him about. The one who'd been pursuing me.
Leonardo's posture shifted, becoming more territorial. His arm wrapped around me, pulling me against his chest. "Nice to meet you. I'm Leonardo, Veronica's husband."
"Leonardo?"
Harvey sized him up from head to toe, his hands curling into fists at his sides.
So this was the bastard who'd stolen me away?
