where am i? werent we just... fighting? how had i gotten here.
And whats up with that damn beeping and the lights, why were they so bright? and what was with that strong bleach scent?
My arms they felt heavy as if i was tied down, every movement drained me.
i covered my eyes with my arm, and opened my eyes.
I was on a bed, and yet it felt like concrete, i saw people walking past my room.
I quickly looked around my room, and the walls were barren and that hospital white.
there should be a button near the guard rails of the bed.
i lowered my hand and felt around, every movement felt as if i was lifting a thousand pounds.
The button was small and felt of cheap plastic.
it took them a few minutes to get someone to my room.
"Welcome back Mr Blackwood, you were asleep for a long time... 355 days to be exact, is there anyone you would want us to contact about you waking up?" she was staring at my, she seemed quite uncomfortable
"What" my voice was extremely weak and quiet
"I understand this may be hard to hear" she sat down in a chair that was next to the bed "Thankfully the Resenators guild has paid for all expenses to get you back into the field, we will also have to contact them to get them to hear your side of the story"
"Sto..p" it was all too much, my throat burned.
"I understand. I'll be back later, Mr Blackwood," she hurriedly left the room, the door clicked behind her.
3 Days Later.
3 knocks sounded from the door.
I pulled myself up to a sitting position.
"Mr Blackwood, we are the Representatives from the Resenators guild, and we first off would like to thank you for your brave actions within that Gate, and we would like to..." i cut them off
"If you're looking for my side of the story, I don't even remember it." I was looking out the window, a gentle breeze was blowing through.
a different man started speaking "No, Sir, we aren't here for that, we are here to give you your money... and to retest you since we believe you might have undergone a second resenation"
I scoffed, "I feel just as weak as before." I finally looked towards them; one was short and the other was of average height.
"Well, sir, either way, we would still like to test you, just to see. Besides, what's the harm in it?"
He set down a device about the size of a keyboard
"Please place your hand on the device," the short one said.
I complied and set my hand down.
They clicked a button and it began to beep and then it displayed a number near the top
"Congratulations, you're now C rank"
"Cool, can i go back to sleep Now?" I didn't care, I wasn't going to continue to enter the gates anyway, so what did it matter?
"Ok, that's all, Mr Blackwood, we will now leave." They grabbed the small device and left. The door didn't click this time
