"It's been two weeks Miya. How long do you plan on observing me?"
Kuro asked in an annoyed tone, a sigh of irritation escaping his lips as he glanced at the silver haired women who sat next to him, sipping a cup of tea calmly.
"Until I no longer see you as a threat to my master's story."
Miya exclaimed in her usual cold tone, unbothered by the closeness between the two. To him, it was as if she was evading his personal space for no reason. Though this was far from the reality, instead she was examining his biological makeup, metaphysical soul, and atomic structure.
"So, this master of yours. I'm assuming this book was misplaced?"
Kuro asked with a slight tilt of his head, observing Miya's every movement yet trying not to make it obvious.
"No. It was given to you to do as you please. You have control of your own story within the multiverse. This is why you can achieve metaphysical transcendence and enter the metaphysical realm."
Miya replied with the same calm and cold tone, taking another sip of her tea while staring out into the space in front of her. Unfortunately, Kuro could not determine if she was lying or not.
"I see. Well, I'll guess you'll be in my care. Let's get to know each other better Miya"
Kuro exclaimed with a wide smile, extending his hand out which was obviously rejected by Miya who continued to sit and sip her tea. Silence consumed the room, and everyone simply just stared at each other until Oka slightly coughed in her hand to gain their attention.
"So, the rumors were true. A book that can alter the state of reality. hmm, so that must also be the reason why you are so in tuned with the chaotic forces of the universe."
Oka proclaimed with a mischievous grin, realizing that if she could capture his heart then she could reach a new level of magic and possibly expand her magical arsenal.
"Yeah."
Kuro simply stated in a cold indifference which shocked even Miya just for a few seconds. He stood up with calm elegance and simply walked away from the group.
Immediately they stood up and followed him out the door outside. Kuro sighed in exhaustion, glancing back at the group of girls following him to who knows where.
"Why are y'all following me"
Kuro asked with a tone that begged them to leave, yet it was ignored by Riyah who quickly caught up to him besides from Miyah. Slapping Kuro on the back with a hearty chuckle.
"Because senpai, you're supposed to train us"
Riyah exclaimed with a small smile and a tilt of her head to induce more cuteness. Unfortunately, Kuro was unfazed by this attempt of flattery and simply kept walking.
"Never agreed to that."
Kur0 stated harshly which earned a sniffle from Riyah and an eyeroll from Kuro.
"You're a big meanie!"
Riyah shouted out with a puff of her cheeks, tears welling up in the corner of her eyes before running away in a random direction. This earned disapproval shouts from everyone but Kuro who kept walking.
"So, you're just going to let her leave. What an asshole"
Miyah stated this time which made Kuro freeze in his spot. A long sigh escaped his lips, and he turned around and dashed off in the direction he heard Riyah run off to.
"He just needs a little push. Master, how about sending in that swordsman again"
Miyah exclaimed aloud to someone in particular but not to the squad. This earned the confusion of Oka and the students, yet Miyah did not pay them any mind.
.
Meanwhile, Kuro found himself leaping across thicks branches and bushes within a forest. Suddenly, the hairs on the back of his neck stood tall due to the shift in the air pressure indicating something was coming.
Kuro fell to the ground just in time to avoid a widespread slash so powerful it that it sliced through a decent portion of forest like a knife against butter.
"That was too close. I nearly died."
Kuro exclaimed aloud to himself in shock, his eyes scanning the widespread damage done to the portion of the forest he was within. Then the subtle snap of a twig caught Kuro's attention, his head darting towards the direction of the sound.
Who stood before Kuro was none other than the strongest swordsmen of the new generation, Kuriko Yama. His demanding aura shook the entire forest, as if the divine had stepped into a confrontation.
Kuriko stoic expression made clear that he was an emotionless shell, built to annihilate threats against something greater. His structured jawline and muscular toned body, stacked with his height and snow-white hair made many people jaws drop at his beauty.
"It's a shame that I missed. Let's try again, this time I won't make the same mistake"
Kuriko exclaimed in a cold and harsh tone, each word laced with venom that could kill. Kuro looked on with an indifferent expression, pondering how he even got himself in this situation.
Kuriko then placed his hand on the handle of his sheathed sword, a subtle cloud of mist escaping his lips in indication of the cold weather. Now Kuro was left with two choices. Fight and attempt to catch up to Riyah afterwards or flee now and catch up to Riyah right now.
.
Meanwhile, Riyah sat against a tree in the denser part of the forest. Her starry outer spacelike eyes glossed over with tears welling up in them. During the two weeks of being around Kuro, she grew to develop romantic feelings for him though this was the first time in Riyah life in which she developed feelings for someone.
In the far distance, she heard the sound of distorting effects related to magic and felt the air pressure from powerful spells clashing against each other.
This made Riyah focus in more on the fighting in the distance, her magical awareness giving her the precise location of the two overwhelming magical forces. Immediately she recognized the first soul energy which belonged to Kuro, though she was unfamiliar with the second one that flowed like a calm river against Kuro's raging storm.
'This person has more control over their magical energy than Kuro's."
Riyah exclaimed within her mind as she stood up with a concerned expression on her delicate face, her hands wiping the tears that threatened to fall just a few seconds ago.
"No need to be in a rush darling~"
A strange female voice proclaimed from within the darkness of the dense forest. distorted yet clear and concise, teasing almost.
