It had now been three whole years in this world and I had grown quite a lot. I skipped the crawling faze instead and at only a year I had the strength to finally walk. In terms of talking I fully understand the language after reading some books I had gotten my hands on in our Library. I haven't said much since I didn't really need to but I'm thinking I should soon because my parents are worried about it.
Walking through the house I decided to make a layout of all the rooms. The house was divided into two layers with the first floor being the massive kitchen and the bathroom while the second layer contained four rooms. The first door upon climbing the stairs was the Library. It had become my new hangout spot due to its vast consumable information. The second door led to my bedroom which still sucked. It had been switched from a crib to a small makeshift bed on the floor as well as a few shelves that I could store things in. The third room was my parents that was self explanatory and the final room was the interesting one. I hadn't been able to get in and the door was always locked. It must hold some dark secret that I have no idea about.
I walked from the end of the corridor back to the Library before quickly grabbing a small red book. In terms of magic it's something a lot more rng based. About one in twenty people have it and out of those people they can only use one of the four types of magic which is also rng what they can use.
Those four types are: Solid Magic, Liquid Magic, Energy Magic and Healing Magic.
Solid Magic, it allows the manipulation of solid surfaces around you, the most basic and by far the most common being the easiest to use. It infuses mana from the users body into nearby objects allowing full control over them. While you can't produce things from thin air or make things within your body its still strong regardless
Liquid Magic allows you to manipulate all forms of liquid with the sole exception of blood for some reason. This works by using mana to bend liquids but since most Liquid mages don't have a strong level of mana manipulation they can only control liquids. Unlike Solid mages though they can mix a small amount of water from within them with a lot of mana to create water attacks as well you can manipulate the temperatures allowing ice or hot water attacks.
Energy Magic is the one with the least options. It's also the one that's the most mysterious with its mana manipulation being undiscovered or not noted about but the basics are you can either control Lightning or Fire and unlike Solid or Liquid you don't need something else to manipulate it like the surfaces around you or liquids. Instead you can turn mana into either Fire or Lightning depending on how your mana functions.
Healing Magic is by the rarest with under fifty confirmed users in Valencia currently at least as of the books publishing date. It is like Energy magic, it's actually considered a variant of energy magic but instead of producing Fire or Lightning you can use your mana into people's injuries, healing them.
That's as much as the book says though. Personally, Liquid magic sounds like the best. It has generally the best versatility with being able to produce attacks from your body or control the others around you.
With higher classes though you can increase your mana as well as how you manipulate elements. The classes are: Mage, Chaplain, Eredict, Bishop, Archbishop, Saint and Fable.
I put the book back before letting out a sigh. That was a lot of reading. I'm gonna go lay down for a bit. I stumble from the Library across to my Bedroom right next to it. I fall over into my bed as I stare at my roof. I wonder if I can use magic. I mean since I was reincarnated I'm probably gifted or something. Definitely going to be able to use like Energy magic or atleast magic in general.
I can already picture myself carrying a staff shooting out lightning attacks at people and being some mysterious mage who wanders the world alone. I'm going to be such a cool prodigy I swear! I just know how to do it right y'know? That's why I'm gonna be the protagonist. I read enough novels to know how to do it right. Yeah. I'm pretty freaking cool huh? I definitely have a large harem of elves and cat girls if there are any. I could already picture that. I swear it! One day I'm gonna be a powerful mage with a large harem at my will! I close my eyes, picturing my giant harem before passing out.
My eyes open as I sit at the edge of a bridge. Staring down the deep blue ocean, waves crashing against the poles of the bridge before flushing away and the beautiful colours as they do. I take my eyes off the water looking around. Where the hell am I? I sat on the railing of a long bridge, it was a grey metallic one and quite long. I couldn't make out the ends of the bridge on either side as if it was infinite.
Is this Japan? Or is this some other place inside Valencia. Definitely not, this architecture is far too modern. Maybe I'm in one of those lucid dreams and I'm remembering a place I've been before. I mean, I don't really remember this bridge at all. Possibly from my early childhood? No way. Where the hell am I? Instantly I felt a force push me over as I fell. The waves quickly approaching my eyes widen and my mouth spreads open. I quickly close my eyes as the sound of waves gets closer. Bang!
